hi guys in today's video, and that already works. We're gonna be looking at how to set your text and stone for a lack of a better word. And this, uh, yeah, this will be for the text to, but before that, let's have a quick intro for this. Mm. So today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za. We make sure that easy to watch problem solving videos, and we also have daily updates otherwise, back in the programme here now. Yeah, just a quick reminder. This is a very serious on the text tool, and I will also leave relevant links in the description so you guys can follow along now. I think this also rugby about the last video for the series. I don't think it's much more we can cover on this without dragging it out. So now texting stone is is a what I'm referring to, and I say this is kind of making your text non editable. But this is ideally when you finally done with your design, so that let's say, for instance, you're sending this to another culture or another company for something else then that they don't need the right fonts and so forth. Otherwise, what will happen if they don't have the right funds on that? Then they imported. It's gonna look very different to on your design. So what we sometimes like to do is you'll keep your original. So after you've done your design, then you'll save another copy of it. And that one you will make kind of non editable, you can say in many ways. So that way, when they get it, it's gonna look exactly the same as what it looks like on your side. So for this, I'm just gonna let's throw this title again texting Stone. So I'm gonna duplicate this just to speed up things that will click it then, yeah, you know, what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna try and make this a bit more, uh, creative looking text in stone. Now, you could obviously do this with individual text words and so forth. So all these letters could be individual text so you can edit it and stuff that would be the right process. To take it to the stone will be its own word and text. And in perhaps, if you want to have the T and the s shape different, that you could do them as well. But I'm just gonna, um um group this this would be by no means the way you would be doing it. But this is just for demonstrations sake. So maybe take these once, Okay? Scale them down. Throw maybe in the S no means the greatest design. But it should give you the general idea of what I'm trying to say. It's me. This one down a bit more. So now let's say you did some form of design. You can maybe Did you play more with making it look pretty? Got a bit too much overlap. Your song was gonna undo that. Yes. You make this t a bit smaller because it's too distracting. So now let's say you've got something on this line, and all of this is still editable so you can change the text, the font and so forth. Then what you'll do is the step I took there. So you'll select all your text, and then you go. But obviously make sure you first go file, save as and make a copy of this. Otherwise, you're gonna be doing it to your original as well. And then what you do is you select all of it and then you simply go to one group select on group, then it will destroy your text ability. So now this has turned it into shapes. So you can see there. If I go to the node editor, this is all shapes. So then, once you've done or once you're ready, you can just select all of us again, hit it back into a group. So then, if you have to move it around on that it is easy because it's all one group and then, yeah, you exported or save your file, send it to the client or the place is going to be cutting, and then this file will be It should look exactly the same when it finally gets to their side. So it's rather simple. It is in many ways, the thing we cover about how to make edible and non edible text. But you actually sometimes would want to use this in those cases where you are working with other clients, perhaps, and it's quite important for the design to look exactly the same when it gets to their side. Otherwise, Yeah, that covers. And I think that about covers are miniseries as well on the text tool. So thank you guys for joining. I do appreciate it.
