Like with the Location and Rotation Transform features, the Scale transform feature also has the ability to do more freehand methods to precise.

hi guys. In today's video trick that already works, we're gonna be looking at your scaling options for shapes and objects. But before that, let's have a quick intro first. Yeah, yeah, So today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za. We make sure it's easy to watch problem solving videos, and we also daily updates otherwise, back in the programme here. Now, just a quick reminder. This is a miniseries on transforming shapes. We've already covered the first two which is moving her tight, and today we're gonna be looking at scaling. Now, I will also leave relevant links in the description. So you guys gonna follow along now? I would say when it comes to importance of transforming tools, especially basic transformation, not know transformation, I would say definitely, uh, location, rotation and scallops on top because you're going to be using those more often than the rest. Now, when it comes to scaling, we have three different ways we can go about this. Two of them are very similar and the other one is a bit more re anyway, So the first way is like I mentioned but more free, free answer. It's not gonna be as accurate as the next to, but it's definitely the quickest way If you want to quickly visualise your scaling, Uh, let's say we wanted to scale this thing according to the size of this or scaled the same size. And with its election selected with your selection tool on top of the left, you simply just drag a selection box over it or you keep on one of the rooms, which can be quite tricky at times, and you'll see we've got these little control points. What they'll do is once on the horizontal plane will scale the horizontal size and then the ones on the vertical plane will scale of vertical plants and all the ones in the corners here. Well, what? We're basically this sort of like your proportions or perspective of the shape, scale and the horizontal and vertical relative to each other like this. You can see there or it scales it relevant, so it's definitely the quickest way to scale. Then let's say you're looking for more precise scaling. Then what you can do is on this bar top, obviously with the shape selected, then zoom in here. You can see here on the second option we've got here size, horizontal and vertical in millimetres. So you can supply if you want to be exact 100 by 100% to and then now it's exactly 100 million metres by 100 million millimetres. Let's move this into the corner. Now, another thing to keep in mind, as you can lock the perspective here as well. With this little lock, Click that on. And now let's say we make this too. This one, maybe 200. It's got 400 so scale of double size. Then I didn't even have to click the next one. I mean, four times the size. I don't even have to click. The next one will automatically do it for me, So, uh, yeah, so that is pretty handy if you want to speed up things And like the rotation and so forth, you can also lock your, um or in origin. If you click on this one, you will see at the moment is set to the top left corner and you can actually set that to the middle of the bottom, right or so forth. And that leads us to our third way of transforming, which is of scaling, is similar to this one is just on your system. With plate. We go to the transformed tab on the far right, and you'll see every year we've got scaling fourth one from the left. Now I like this one. You can sit in your values you want, and you can also set your area. So it's got 200 millimetres scale that 200 which is also quite convenient. But yeah, that is it on scaling. It's rather simple.
