FabriCAM Software Flat Part P43 Intermediate Shapes (Part 19) Step by Step Video Tutorial

Next up on our list is another version of the classic Rectangle shape, the Rectangle is most probable one of the most used shapes.

With this variation of the Rectangle however we will be looking at adding a roundness to the sides of the shape.

Hey guys. In today's video, we're looking at PE or part number 43 from our intermediate flat part. Otherwise, we're back into the programme here. Now today's shape It's gonna be kind of a rectangle with round it, uh, side so left and right. And you can always say in many ways is similar to this, uh, part three or, uh, part number three. But instead of setting the height of these, uh, surroundings, we're gonna be sitting just the width and the surroundings will be the same. So now, in order to add it, we're gonna go to flat Part P uh, 43 then from the preview here, we can see we've got a few different options. So we've got the rounding, which will be setting these surround sides. We've got X, which is the with, and we, which is the height. So now there's some things to keep in mind with the shape which is important. So I'm gonna go to a quick default and then we'll see from there. Let's go. 300 worth the rounding. I'm going to do about 50. And the height gonna do about 100. If I go preview, you can see we've got a shape similar to the previous. They just maybe a bit wider. Now, if we are to set the rounding too low, let's go about 20. This is relevant to your with and that if we say okay, we'll see nothing. And then if you try and it's going to be an error and you have to re add your shape so just keep that in mind you're rounding needs to at least be a certain, uh, size depending on your worth. So and another thing is, if we set our X, which is are worth less than perhaps surrounding right about the same, we're gonna get some funky shapes again. So if I go okay, yeah, you can see we're still getting some overlaps and that if it had a bit of a bridge here, perhaps it would have been nice. You can get some unique shapes, but this office is gonna do separate cutouts all these pieces are going to be individual, which might spoil your shape of it. So I'm gonna say this back to 300. So just to recap again or a quick reminder that obviously when it comes to these three values surrounding you want to be at least a certain size relevant to your, uh, with or your your with Well, actually, I think the height, my apologies, Otherwise it won't work. So just it gives you the error or it shows no preview just up your rounding up the rounding until you find something that works and then offers your ex, you want to keep it larger than you're rounding as well. Otherwise, the vital care which will add this to our actual metal sheet. So we have it here as a reference because you can see this is about 43.
