VinylCut 5 Software Incorporate Shapes into Title Designs, Step by Step Video Guide

vinylcut shapes title design

How do we go about adding shapes into our title designs without it cutting through the text?

We have more than one way to achieve this, there’s the destructive way and then the more non-destructive way too.

Uh, hey, guys. In today's video final cut, we're gonna be looking at how to incorporate shapes into a title. Before that, let's have a quick intro first, so today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za hat you guys will notice. We do have a variety of different Softwares we cover, and also we upload training daily. So just by different content. Otherwise we're back in the programme. Yeah. Now, once again, this is just another video on titles. So how to incorporate shapes into a title that at the end of the day, when you're printing it or cutting it, that it actually looks nice and clean and doesn't give me any problems? So let's say, for instance, in this example, we want to put a little hot between the eye and the U. So this is just a basic text, as you can see here or not layers panel properties, Then what we wanna do is I'm not sure what to say as the full in style or fill and stroke. We basically just have basically colour and border, and it's me around the border, but more so blackboard or stroke. So the first thing I wanna do is on groupers or with it selected, you can either go to object on group or I'll be right clicking and going to group. Then now, in our latest panel, we can see it is divided into two separate shapes. They are still text, but individual those shapes. So now if we are to select, just open this. So now next we're gonna do is make spacing for the heart. So I'm gonna just be using the arrow keys where you selected and then go to the right selector, I and go to the left. So I find something I like afterwards, you can realign it onto the design. The next thing I wanna open your libraries panel, which is on the top right here. So I'm gonna locate hard shape. So now we have a few different pick from I think I'm gonna choose this nice little round at heart. So I'm just gonna click hold and drag it into my canvas, just close the library, and then scale is harder by keeping old plus shift while clicking that scale button and then get a scale which I kind of like and I'm gonna move this shape into the U And then I'm gonna realign I so that it looks a bit better. Something about the line, I think, could work. You can obviously reposition these one high one low. I'll keep this just like this for now. And next up we're gonna do is select all three D shapes. Just drag a selection box over there, make sure it's over the edges. But it was not over the edges to make sure you keep shifting. I mean, anything they just touch or the blue block touches, it will be selected. The next thing I want to do is you want to use the union tool, So if we go here, too, so it's an object, then we navigate until we can find them. It's actually not object. It's part of my apologies I'm used to have emerged to. So we go to path. We go to union, which is old you. And once we selected this. Now, as you can see, it's union all of that together into one shape for us. So we get to preview. You can also see that it is joint into one. Now, if you want something a bit less destructive, you can. So we undo this. Now, As you can see, the shape is still separate. So if we had to go here too, three of you. But now we can see they'll be cutting into each other. So what you can do is once again we select all three of these shapes. We go to the style panel, it will be located here on the right, a little spanner. And then we say wild. Then if we go preview, you will see it's crying out where it's gonna cut out. But you do not see the outline previous in my case. But I like the design. I'll just go to Path union. You if you use the shortcut and then you go, we've got a single little nice graphics which you can now move around, play around with touch it up even more Otherwise, that is it. On incorporating shaped into a title we had here to final cut out Celia programme is freely available here. Just had to the downloads page. Otherwise, if you guys go to softwaretraining.co.za y like I mentioned in the intro video, we have a variety of different Softwares. We do cover and also you are able to isolate your search even and winding specific, the way we still come dry and then find you're looking for. We have this nice little request, the training video button. Select that fill in the form and then we will make that video for you. But otherwise thanks guys for watching and cheers.
