VinylCut 5 Software Good Practices when Making a Connected Letter, Step by Step Video Guide

vinylcut connected letter title

There are so many ways to go about making custom titles, so here’s a few good habits to keep practicing.

It is to easy to end up making a mess with your final design when it comes to cutting, so to have a consistent workflow is always a winner.

How are you guys in today's video? I'll cut. We're gonna be looking at creating a connected letter title. But let's have a quick intro first. Mm. So today's video can we find our software trend that you guys don't notice? We do have a variety of different Softwares we cover, and also we upload videos daily, so just keep your content. Otherwise, back in the programme here. Now connected letter title. This is great for Let's say you've got a car design or vinyl in the window. This is your main title. So you don't want to just keep it, um, standard text. You maybe want to spice it up a bit. So today we're gonna look at a few nice little features we can use to make it more simple and make sure the outcome is more consistent and clean. So first of all we want to do is select our text. And then now, uh, panel here, we can see that it is currently a text. They want to group it, um, group this. So there's many ways to go about it. I'm just gonna right click the shape. I think I get a new group now. we go back to our latest panel, we will notice that it is individual shapes. Now, now it makes it easy to work with. So what I'll do next is we'll go to the documents panel, which is a little paper on the top, right? And then we want to go to show outlines only. You don't have to add this, but I find it. It's nice to see overlaps in it. Now we've got our title and individual shapes. So with our selection tool selected now from Harvard, over the shapes, we can see which one we're busy editing. So let's start with tho. Maybe start by repositioning and growing it a bit or scaling it. And then I would say with Al Sorry. Don't move your mouth while you select something. Well, easily put this. Maybe, um, when are we losing some of the tea day? So keep spacing on each other with, see if we're lucky. There we go. That can still work. So we can kind of throw them into each other and then maybe just make some white spacing here. So it's not to force based. Obviously you can use this for him. Yeah, uh, a few different reasons. You can scale up different letters and so forth. Now, this is not the prettiest title, but we'll nicely demonstrate the what I'm trying to show. So now we got to preview you will notice that we've got this ugly, um, overlaps, or what will happen is when you cut your vinyl, it's gonna cut individual shapes out wherever it overlaps. So to fix that, we want to get to our styles panel, Little span it, and then we go to wild. But make sure all your shapes you want a while together is selected. So now with them selected, I click wild. Now, if we're going to preview again, we will see all those little intersections are greyed out, and that is exactly what we want. So we can maybe fix this because it's still gonna have a cut there. I'm just a bit concerned with tea, but what you'll do is you'll just align that they nicely and then you try your world. You can just leave the wild on and you just go back to you. Now this is joined. And that's not what I would personally take some off with the tea But for the sake of this tutorial, what's gonna take too long? But then, yeah, Then at the end, you've got a nice round it off design. You can obviously go to the document property and just put out show outlines only off against and kind of see the result with colour. And then if you follow those basic principles, you should come out with quite a nice connected title. Like I mentioned, it is a letter title, so it's no longer text, but you have a lot of freedom to customise it, which is nice. Otherwise, if we had year to final cut out 00, the programme is freely available here. Just hit your download page. Otherwise, if we go to softwaretraining.co.za hat's here today, like I mentioned the intro video, we have a variety of different Softwares. We do cover and also we have this nice little search options so you can isolate a search if you look for in specific and you know what, I'm going to go through the list of videos and then if you don't find what you're looking for, you still run dry. You can always try to request a training video. Then we will make that video for you. But otherwise thanks guys for watching and cheers
