Similar to the Distribute to Page option, the Distribute to Selection will give you nice spacing within a selection.

Also, the great thing is that you are still able to use the Horizontal or Vertical options combined with their settings.

Hi guys. In today's video, I'll cut. We're gonna be looking at the distribute to selection function, but let's have a quick intro first so today's video can be found a softwaretraining.co.za hat's here today. We have a variety of different software we do cover, and also we do our training videos daily. So just keep out there for the content that was back in the programme. And now it's a reminder. This is a miniseries on the distribute function we already covered. There should be two page. So today we'll be looking at this tribute selection and then, um, yeah, I will put relevant links in description so you can follow along. And if you did not see the first video, are we covering this video and some depth as well? So yeah, so for those that have watched it, I'm sorry about that. Otherwise got a distribute selection. Uh, nice way to use it. It's It's a bit like the line tool, and we'll get under the what do you call it? The the actual position and size panel. But this will kind of align it going to spacing relevant to whatever selected. So, for example, if we had to distribute these objects, we had to select all of them by dragging selection box. Over there. It will distributed between the two outer most outer shapes. So they draw basically become the border where previously it was the page. So whatever was on your mat your canvas that will distribute it according to that, So we'll use this edge. Now you see almost out of shapes. So if you're making a fake border or anything like that, or you've got a card with graphics on the insight you always distributed to selection and we'll arrange graphics accordingly. Or according to your card and not the page. So now we have a few options to look at all distributed selections. First of all, I want to make sure it is enable. So what we can do is we go on top, your object and your main menu. We never get down to distribute, and then one of the first ones will go distributed page and click on this. Then, if we go there again, object distribute, we will see that the right market selected. So now, with all your object selected, we've got a few different options here is the first one, or we've got distribute. We can do it horizontally and vertically. Only gonna be covering horizontally and then vertically is the same as just up and down instead of from left to right. So they know so as we. So if we just start with the first one here distribute to left. So if we select this, what will happen? So we'll keep our spacing relevant to the left side of the objects. So this line, this line, this line and this line should be equally spaced like I did before. I'll take the measuring tool and you do a rough measurement so we can see. So this is around was at 5.57 and the next one is around 5.55 or 5.57. And then the next one it's around 5.57, as you can see should be exact. But I'm obviously just measuring free and yah, so that is, um, distribute to left. So if we're gonna do that, let's go again to object and we go distribute the next one, distribute centre horizontally. So what? This will do all our centre lines or we um, spaced equally so then you know your results or your spacing Verizon spaced equally. Then the next one. We have the same as to the left, but now will be distributed to write or distribute. Right now, all you're right lines equally spaced and then last up here. We've got distribute and we've got space and horizontally. So now all the spacing between your objects will be equal. So instead of the centre lines that will now suppose everything there's a great tool to use. If you wanna make sure you're spacing that is exact or looks good and it's consistent now, on the actual there should be a top and bottom. Just remember now top will mean the top of the lines are or equal space and bottom will be in the bottom of the lines. You know, it seems like a no brainer, but it is good to cover that. Otherwise that is it and distribute to selection. For now, let's just head to software. Uh huh. If you guys go to this website, the programme is freely available.
