Managing the Alignment of Objects within the SAi FlexiPRINT RTUV 22 Software (Part 9)

flexiprint objects alignment

Now when it comes to the Alignment feature, there is quite a lot of options to choose from.

Depending on your design requirements some of these choices will suit you better than others.

Alright, guys, In today's video, we're gonna be looking at the alignment feature with flexi print. But before that, let's have a quick intro first. So today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za. co dot Z A. We make short and easy to watch problem solving videos, and we also have daily updates. Now if we head into the programme So like I mentioned, we're gonna be looking at the alignment tool and, uh, this can be handy, but it's also in two parts. Or should I say, um, we've got two different sections for the alignment tool. One is related to the objects, and then another one is related to the page, so we'll start with the object one. So now a few things that's important to know about the alignment tool is it will align it to whichever object is, uh, number one on your cut order or the furthest back on your actual, um uh, Page. So if I had to put all these shapes over each other, we can see this is gonna be our main object it's gonna use. But if I had to move this one the wrong button behind that it will use that one. There's just something to keep in mind. Um, another way you can view it without rearranging your objects like that. You can simply go on your cut order feature. We got the cut order and click that little icon. And obviously, if you can't, if you don't have this panel open, you can just right click on top here, go order at the bottom, and it should give it to you. And I'm gonna click that and we can see the one that says number one. That is gonna be the shape it's gonna align it to. So now you just have a look at that. I'm gonna change the colour of this. So we, um, know which one is our main object or the one that's gonna align it to. So I'm gonna select all our shapes. Then what we can do is we go to our main menu on top, and then we select a range. We go down until we find order and you will see. Um Oh, sorry. My apologies, not order a line and you'll see we've got these top ones, and they've got shortcut keys. So if you use one often, you can just learn that shortcut key for it. So we've got a line to left, right? Top bottom, horizontal centre, vertical centre and both centres. Then under that, we've got sh control shift plus with numbers and this will be to the page. But now let's first look at this top. So if I had to go to left, I click that you will see it will align all the left of the shapes to the left of this shape. Um, control Z. You can see everything comes straight to the shape. Uh, in alliance to that, then another one we've got. We've got a line we've got right now. It's gonna do exactly the same thing just on the right of the shape. So this is nice. If you have, like a um a kind of a a template, even you want everything aligned to that. You can do the same. It's got a line. We got top bottom, same you can imagine. And then the way it so it's differing slightly is we've got this horizontal centre, vertical centre and both centre. So now what? This will do horizontal centre. It will take the horizontal line. But the centre of this shape and it will align everything. A vertical will do the same in this manner. And then obviously both will align everything to the centre of that shape. Then we've got a page one. Now, this is where it gets slightly tricky. So now it no longer, um, cares about the actual shapes. I'm gonna just tuck these slightly more snug in so we can see it. But now what's gonna happen is gonna use these selection or the selected objects as a whole. So if I go a line now, let's go to left page left edge page. You'll see everything that was selected. We will move to the far left, but it will stay in the same order or layout that it was. So uh, let's just go through one or two more We go, let's go. Bottom centre page. I mean both centres, and now it's going to go exactly in the centre. Go a line that, uh maybe go uh, let's go right there does everything to the right and so forth. So that is nice. Also, if you have a design ready and you wanna quickly align it to the page, maybe you? Um, cutting mat. You wanna align it or something? On that line? You can always use this and you quickly decide. OK, I'm gonna throw a top right corner or so forth. Then for that you would just simply go, um, a line. Then you will go top, and then you go align again. Oh, sorry. I apologise. I used the wrong one. So we all bring this go line. So arrange line, and then make sure we use a page once we go left to arrange a line. And then we go to page once again and we go top, and then you go. We've got nice top left corner by combining this. Now, if we had to, right click. We will also get the line option here. But as you can notice, we only have it for the actual selected objects and not the page ones. So if you want to get to the page one, it won't be under this menu. A line over here, but yeah, otherwise, that is it on the line tool. Very handy. It's obviously, um, quite, uh, directed at specific uses. But if you get in the habit of using it it is very convenient because you can get a nice and accurate alignment. A lot of times you might do it like, um, text or something, and you can align multiple objects on a nice line. It's quite handy like that as well. But yeah, on the meanwhile, though, if we head you to softwaretraining.co.za. co dot Z a. You guys will notice we've got a variety of different Softwares we do cover, and you can also isolate your search on the top, right? If you do not, however, find the training videos you're looking for, just simply go. Yeah, request a training video put in the mini form, and then we'll do our best to try and make that for you. But otherwise thanks, guys for watching and cheers.
