vinylcut shape offset path

Do you have vector shapes or cut-lines that are just too thin or thick in its overall size?

Using the Offset Path Feature allows you to add a bit more body to that just to skinny cursive text, or remove some body from a shape or text that has just too much bass.

Hi guys. In today's video that I'll cut. We'll be looking at the offset path feature. Just have a quick intro here. Well, today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za c o dot z A. You guys will notice we've got a variety of different software to do cover and we upload videos daily. So keep a high. Therefore, any new content otherwise, back in the programme here and now the offset paths. It's quite a handy future. You can use it on different shapes. I'll be just demonstrating it on a text for this purpose for the sample. Um, yeah, but basically what you can do is you can grow the size of your text or your shape or reduce it. So let's just quickly Look, let's say we select our outline tax here and then to locate it. You can go on top year to path, and then we go down to offset path. Now, if we zoom in here, Yeah, all right. Just first said it so we can zoom while we're busy. So, in any case, so if we, uh, look here, we can see so far, this is gonna be the current offset so it's gonna increase the text by this much. And yeah, that will be the new shape. So what we can do is we can go here to consider from regular around it or be able So this will obviously be the, um Corne, isn't that how it will react to it? I'll just keep on a regular. You can also then set the multi year, which is maintained a more of the original ship. Okay, so then we've got the offset slider here. So if we adjust this, then in our preview you can see how it just the offset. So let's just grab something rather reasonable without overlapping ticks to the previous shape. So then if we click OK, Yeah. And you will see this is the new shape. Now, now keep in mind If it was text the world no longer be text, it won't be editable. They will turn it into groups and shapes. So that is a one thing to keep in mind. Now let's say you have this title, but it's just too broad with the other one was just too skinny. Then we can do the same thing with it selected. We go to path to offset path. And now what we wanna do We can actually set, insert, offset or inset offset in any case, so then now resuming here you can see now it's actually gonna reduce the ship. So the slider, we can increase it, and then it's all you have it where you like it. You click. OK, you'll see. Now you have your new you with and hide. Like I said, um, this keep in mind with tax, it does remove tax capability. But this also does work on normal shapes and so forth. So if you have a cut out of something and you need to reduce it or increase it, then you can always use the offset parts feature. Otherwise, we're to our website. Yeah. If you guys navigate to softwaretraining.co.za Seattle's era, you can find this video and more like it. We have a variety of different software. We do cover and we upload videos daily. So just yeah, if you want to isolate your search, otherwise you don't find what you're looking for. You can always go here, request the training video, and then we'll make that for you. Otherwise, thanks, guys, for watching and chills
