flexiprint objects ordering

When it comes to the different Arrangement options available for objects, setting the Order is top in the list.

In lots of design workflows, the Order feature in most cases is one of the most used Arrangement features.

This video is part of a Mini-Series.

Hi guys. In today's video, we're gonna be looking at reordering or ordering objects with flexi print. But before that, let's have a quick intro first. So today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za. co dot Z A. We make sure and easy to watch problem solving videos. And we also have daily updates. Now, if we get into the programme here. So just so you guys know this is gonna be a mini series on object arrangement. So we're gonna look at all the different options we have to arranging objects and that within, uh, flexi print. So now the first one here, Like I mentioned in the intro, we're gonna be looking at ordering setting the order of objects. Now, this can be very important for many reasons. Obviously, one of them is, let's say, um, you want certain elements, like text or anything over another shape, then it doesn't help you put it behind it. So then knowing how to set the order is important, But also, some philtres require a object on top. So perhaps you creating a mask and then it will mask out or use the mask that's on higher layer. So that is also important knowing how to set the order Now, in order to set the order, There's a few ways we can go about it. The first way is obviously we need something selected. So let's select this first middle object and then we can go on our main tool. Uh oh. Sorry. Our main menu on top here. And then if we go to arrange and then we go to order and then you can see under here we have a few options. Now, when it comes to these, the first two on top is grouped together basically and the bottom two So the top two. If I go to front, this will send the object right to the front of everything to back or send it to the back of everything. And then we've got for one for two. So this is we want to fine tune exactly which layer it is within. So another way we can access those settings is if we right click an object and we go at the bottom to order. Then we have the same options. But now you might have meant Ah, I notice Here, under the main menu. If you go to order. There is hot keys for these, and these are very handy. I would recommend Get used to them if you can, so we can see the two front and two back is shift plus page up, page down and forward one and forward Our back one. This will be control page up and control page down. Now, if you use it and it does not work, let's say you're using your non pad, uh, page up page down, then consider just hitting your numb lock button once. Try again and see if it works. Because sometimes your numb locks off on and they all vary depending on whether the page up and page down functions work. Um, yeah. So let's just have a quick sample. So I'm just gonna take this thing up, one down one. So if I move it up one, we will see it is gonna be on top of this red, so I'm gonna hit control page up. There we go. It's on top of the red with the control page down. It's gonna go down one. If I eat it again, it goes down. Even one more. Now it's behind it. Now let's try to use this, uh, the shift one. So now if I go shift plus control, uh, plus num pad up. And then this shape should be on top of everything. So we know now it is two movements down. So if I press this, it will do it in one movement now. Same way. If I have shift now, I press N pad down. It throws it behind Everything. So very handy tool is for ordering. You're gonna be using it a lot within designs, so I'd recommend you use to the shortcuts. Otherwise, you know, you can have the right click go to order, select the right one, and that takes quite some time. Um, I would definitely recommend that. Then, uh, let's just see here. I know on the album if we go on our main tool bar or a secondary and we right click, we also have an option here called Order. This is perhaps also another one That's slightly quicker than having to use the menus. And as you can see here, we have our order option on now with this, though, however, it is important that you get used to which icons or which and then you can simply navigate that from there. You can also dock it. If we go on a white space here we select and we drag it to this toolbar. Then we've got a dock. Then we can also quickly jump between these options to adjust the correct location. But yeah, otherwise that is it on ordering very handy. Like I said. And you're gonna probably be using it a lot in the meanwhile, though, if we head you to softwaretraining.co.za. co dot Z a. You guys will notice we've got a variety of different Softwares we do cover. And you can also isolate your search here on the top, right? If you do not, however, find the training videos you're looking for, just simply go. Yeah, request the training video, fill in the mini form, and then we'll do our best to try and make that for you. But otherwise thanks, guys, for watching and cheers
