The Mirror Transformation Feature within the SAi FlexiPRINT RTUV 22 Software (Part 6)

flexiprint mirror transformation

Now when it comes to the Mirror Feature within FlexiPRINT, it is very similar to most other mirror feature but with more control.

Mirroring of Objects and Designs are one of those features that without it you cannot get the same result without having to recreate a mirrored version.

This video is part of a Mini-Series.

Alright, guys, In today's video, we're gonna be looking at the mirror feature within flexi print. But before that, let's have a quick intro first. So today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za. co dot Z A. We make sure easy to watch problem solving videos, and we also have daily updates. Now if we head into the programme here. So like I mentioned, we're gonna be looking at the mirror feature. This is a great picture, and it's very hard to duplicate. Um, without using this feature because you'll have to recreate things in a mirror version. Now I'm gonna quickly just create something that is obvious when it's mirrored. So let's grab two rectangles, maybe make a bit of a upside down. Alia, move this one up and then join these two together. So here we go. We've got a nice little, uh, upside down L. The reason why I do that is if we have something like a rectangle and if I had to mirror this, you wouldn't know Cos if I had to rotate this. It stays exactly the same thing Where with this one, if we rotate, it becomes obvious that it's rotated and not mirrored, but anyway, so now with this, I'm going to scale it up a little bit. Now, in order to use the mirror tool, you wanna make sure you've got something selected that you want to mirror and then under our main menu on top, I'm just gonna navigate to the arranged drop down menu from that, and then we're gonna go down till we find the option called Mirror. Now, when I click that, it's gonna open up, um, the design central with its settings. And then you'll see we have a little preview and red on what's happening now. I'm gonna, um just leave it on. What? It was originally the default. Don't worry about what I said. There. I'll show you now. So then, on our actual viewport here, there's, um, a few nodes that we need to look at. And then obviously we've got like, I mentioned our preview of what's gonna be happening. Not under these nodes. We've got a top one, a middle one and a bottom one. In my opinion, the middle one is the most important. So if I have to left click that hold and drag, you can see we can choose how far this mirror is going on the horizontal plane. So we either put it this side or that side then or the top and bottom is gonna do. It's gonna become a form of a rotation. So if I had to select this point, the bottom point, it's gonna rotate it around the top point. So let me just show you. So I'm gonna click that, and there we go. We've got our mirror rotating around the top point. So this is a great way if you wanna do kind of like a horizontal or I mean a vertical mirror, seeing that you don't have the option. So what you'll do is you'll use these points to rotate it. Now, keep in mind, you can also constrain the rotation like we did before, so if you keep shifting, then you'll see it as a 45. And there we go. We've got a full 90 so you can quickly choose where you want to. Let's say you want to mirror it on top and you can rotate it, then let go, Then click the metal one again and move it to the right location. Likewise, you can also rotate it from the other point, or what you can do is I can select one point and then move it somewhere and then rotate to the other one around that point. That's all a little bit complex like that. But I would say the most important is we go to mirror again. So main menu arrange mirror is that the middle one will set how far away the mirror is, and then keep in mind the one point rotates around the opposite point. So if you start top or rotate around the bottom point and likewise bottom around the top and then with this one, it's very handy. Keep shifting and constrain. It gives you the best results. Then, if you like that, make sure you press enter or the little right mark here on the Sign central panel, and that will confirm it for you. And as you can see, it's now mirrored our shape. Now, by default like you might have noticed, is it will mirror our shape without making a copy. So pretty much just as like a form of flipping tool so you can take your shape, flip it around in the opposite direction. Now What I'm gonna do is let's quickly mirror it using the design centralizer so I can go to arrange mirror and then under the Design central, we have, um, two options. And obviously they confirm the first one will be keep original. So if I click that when it mirrors, it's gonna make a copy of it, which is very handy, or it's gonna leave the original as well. Then we have here the distance, you'll see we only have one setting for the distance. Now you definitely in this. At least in my opinion, this is one of those tools where you wanna use, perhaps more the freehand. If you want precise distance between them, maybe two centimetres. You can use this, but like I said, uh, in order to get a vertical mirroring up or down, you can't do it with that. So then you wanna look at these points and adjust it accordingly? Just move this or maybe on the inside, leave a bit of an overlap pressing to There you go. We've got our shape nicely mirrored. Saves us a lot of time, and like I say, some shapes, it's just not possible. Especially when we get you things like text and that you can rotate it as much as you want. It's not gonna gonna become a mirror, but yeah, otherwise, that is it on the mirror feature. Um, a quick recap. We got the free ant mirroring that we can do and the one on the design central. But in my opinion, like I said, use the free ant in combined with design central and to locate it. Main menu Arrange mirror. Yeah, otherwise, in the meanwhile, if we head here to softwaretraining.co.za. co dot Z A you guys will notice we've got a variety of different Softwares we do cover. You can also isolate your search here on the top, right? If you do not, however, find the training videos you're looking for, just simply go. Yeah, request the training video, fill it in a mini form, and then we'll do our best to try and make that for you. But otherwise thanks, guys, for watching and cheers
