This is such a great feature to speed up for workflow, Cutting vinyl’s by color and its Separate Jobs Feature.
The Single Job feature is good for cutting more simple designs, but when it comes to the more complex designs then the Separate Jobs feature is the one for you.
are you guys? In today's video of final Cut, we've been looking at the cut settings. The cut by colour, separate jobs. Let's have a quick intro here. Yeah. Mm. So today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za r the other today? Um, yeah, we have a variety of different Softwares. We do cover, and we also have blood daily, so just make sure you get out there for the new content. It's really back in the programme here. Now, just a reminder. This is a miniseries on the cut settings. Uh, so I will leave links in the description to relevant videos. Otherwise, to locate your cut settings or your we'll be under this icon of far right on the top toolbar, a menu bar. There will be the little paper with a pen looking, cutting to. In any case, we select this and then I'll pop up. There's cutting settings now for the cut with separate jobs will have to make sure our cut settings mode set mhm to origin point. So now everything will remain with the same origin point. And then, um, if we navigate to the third tabby on top would be cut by colours. Now, in the previous video, we did cover some of what these things do, but we'll run through some of them again. So then we will make sure our full colour selected Unless you're working with strokes, cut all colours this time, I'll send it to cut each colour separately. Um, separate jobs. If you want to know more about single colour, just cheque the previous video they have. Not already. Then, Um, yeah, If you you can also arrange the order of your your layers here you can just click and drag, and then you can, for instance, with one on top. But as you can see, kind of the ones at the bottoms on top. So it kind of works opposite to your normal layers layout, just rather strange. And in any case, and then on the left here, we've got the little icon with a cutting blade. So if you want to remove any colour not to cut, then you can do that. But when you're cutting with multiple or separate jobs and it's normally not necessary, then uh, when you finally happy with that, you can just say cut. Then we'll pop you up. This menu. And then, uh, we have a few options a year, obviously on top. Here, we can see, is this one out of four colours they want to cut. And it is also this is the colour we're starting with. So they know. Yeah, so it starts with the back moves to the front, then we've got a preset option here. So if you've set up a preset like, you know, another video, you can always select here or just leave it on what was current? Uh, um, settings are set to you can also go your multi cut you're working on material is thicker than normal, and it doesn't cut with one time. All right, then you can up the speed as well, but by default, you can just leave this on what it is. So now the nice part about this cut separate jobs, He's, um this point was, let's say you cut this black. Then you can actually wait here and first change of vinyl, and then you say, cut again with the next one, or if there's a colour you're not gonna cut now, you can just say skip and then you can say stop to a board. So let's just say imagine you've cut this one. I'm not gonna cut out. I was gonna say Skip. Then they'll pop you out the next time thing that you can catch. Then you can just say cut it, cut it to that colour, and then you can and so forth. You can carry on now. Uh, quick, stop there. Now, let's say you I want all these layers. You know, it's quite a complex design, so let's say afterwards to align them, you know, it can be a bit of a trick. So then what you want to do is you wanna put some form of registration, Mark. So what I've done here, I've just made a new layer and added these three little triangles, So this way, when you're printing, will assign it so that every layer gets printed with these three triangles. So then you can just align the triangles while you stick your vinyl or so forth and then also to remove them, and design should be a light. So to do that, we select these triangles, just made little triangles and, um, union them all together under path. So it's one shape and then we want to go to our style sheet on the right with a little spanner and then undercut lines Type. We want to set this right to the bottom cut layers Alignment. This is selected and we go to our cut layers now. Yeah, and then if we click, uh, if you can see here, we don't see that shape because of what is said to So now you've got it here on your preview, you can actually see it. And then, uh, yeah, if we had here to cut, then you should notice With every layer we skip, you've got those same triangles Afterwards, you can just align all of them. Yeah, otherwise, yeah, that is it on cut by colours. So, uh, yeah, we'll cheque you in the next one for a follow up of the student aura. Otherwise, if you guys had to final cut and sealed the programme is freely available. They're just here to the downloads page. Or you can also, if you go to softwaretraining.co.za like I mentioned this video and more like it's available.
