When it comes to shape designs, the tricky thing about a Semicircle is that it has both types of paths.
If you are working on just straight paths or curved ones the process is quite predictable, but it gets a bit more complicated when combining these two.

All right, guys, In today's video, a true cut already works. We're gonna be looking at tracing a semicircle using the curve path tool. But before that, let's have a quick intro first. Mm mm. Mhm. So today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za c o dot z A. We make sure needs to watch problem solving videos, and we also have daily updates. Otherwise, back in the programme here now, just a quick reminder of the season miniseries on design, where we will be covering and have been covering a few different ways of designing things and also using measurements within it. Now, I will also leave relevant links and description so you guys can follow along in today's video. We're gonna be looking at tracing a semicircle. So this combines straight lines and curves where two videos before that with straight lines, and then we get curbs. Only now we're gonna have both of them. So I don't do that. I'm just gonna quickly import image reference image like I mentioned before. These you can easily find online on. You can just simply google it. And when you're tracing shapes, especially, you don't need to worry about copyright unless it is very iconic, like a logo shape. But otherwise, Yeah, So I've got this little shape that I've designed in a different programme. You know, what I can do is I go to the curves tool on the left. Simply click that and then you can start like I mentioned before. I like to start on a dead point or, in a sense, point on the curve. So this is just one flowing shape, and I will see which area has got the least amount of detail, perhaps, and start there. But in this case, I'll start with a straight point. So now semi circles are rather simple to make. Actually, I can just simply click here with my left mouse button and then start selecting where I want the next point without moving my mouth left click again. Then we've got our two points. There was something like a circle semicircle. You actually need points in between these points. So I will click here and a great thing about something like a semicircle from the get go, you can actually start designing the shape where most of the time I would advise people to only do it afterwards, but you can actually already start doing now We're sitting like this. Keep in mind this horizontal line, try a bit more levelled. Otherwise, if you do something like this and obviously this side is not going to react the same and as you can see at the moment, it is making a mirror with these control points. So if we get that side as close as possible and the left should in essence also be very close, then we can have over there and close the shape. And as you can see, that is a pretty nice in my opinion, semi circle. Now it does happen at times. Uh, at least I don't know why you can see it does not close the party even though it gives us that option to Maybe I'm just missing something, but I'll have to look into that. So then, like in the previous video, I'll just isolate these two so I can see the distance, connect the nodes like before, select that point and just remove it. And there we go. Now we've got a nice closed path of a semicircle. Can simply the move will move this reference And then once again, you can scale this up, rotated colour it and so forth, depending on what you're going for. Otherwise, you know, if we had to softwaretraining.co.za c o dot z a. You guys will notice We've got a variety of different Softwares we do cover and also you can isolate. You're searching the top of right. If you do not for some reason, find the videos you're looking for. You can always go here to request the training video, fill in the mini form, let us know which software is for. And then we will try and make that video for you. But otherwise thanks guys for watching and she's
