Being able to Trace custom shapes within the program allows you to have more freedom with the outcome.

There are a few things that is good to keep in mind when working with custom shapes for keeping your workflow clean and smooth.

Yeah. Hi there, guys. In today's video trick that already works. We're gonna be looking at tracing custom shapes within the programme. But before that, let's have a quick intro first. So today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za c o dot z A. We make sure that easy to watch problem solving videos and also daily updates always back in the programme here. Now, just a quick reminder. This is a miniseries on the design. Um, yeah, and then also we leave relevant links and description so you guys can follow a lot now when it comes to the topic of today tracing custom shapes. Um, you know what I'm referring to? This is sometimes you'll join multiple shapes. And then let's say you want to make a trace of it. If I had to do something like this, um, cut it, then it will actually cut these cross lines here, so we'll have cut over each other where? Let's say I want to cut just this outline without the bottom of the circle of the inside. Then you would use a different method. Some programmes you can simply just cut them out of each other, which is convenient, but an RJ works. I have not found a way yet. So what I would do is I would select both these shapes change the colour to something that's maybe more presentable as a guide. So I know that this is not my final. And then when you go to our group function you on the top, that's the middle icon. Then group this together. Now this will work as one shape. This will help before working with notes for not to get them confused or at least two confused. Now this is still a kind of buggy process, so you must play around with it a bit to get it to work. Well, then, what I'll do. I'll go on the left, you get the curve tool, Select that and then zooming every year, using my mouse wheel about this close. Then, like before, I will start on a point where I know I wanna end at. So let's say I wanna start here, go this way around and end at that point. So then I'll locate this point simply left, Click left. Click will not drag my mouth so it doesn't create a curve. Note. They try to be a bit more clean in the actual project. Just try save time and then with semi circles and half circles is always nice. At least in my opinion, to get, like, half point of it. You left, click and hold in. And now we can make that coke once again. It's important. Keep this level horizontal or if you're doing a side vertical but in our case will be horizontal the ways we could get a walked semi circle out there. So I get to somewhere where I'm quite satisfied. Leave it. Find the closing point. Click that and it closes. Okay, maybe work on that a bit. You can adjust it with a note edit tool if you want. I'm not gonna spend too much time on that. And then but going to the note edit tool. I just wanna make sure my path is properly closed. So I'm gonna select this point. Move it selected to and we say, join it or combined nodes, and then remove this one. And then we have a nice traced image here. Now we can simply either move or remove guide. Change the colour named Zuma. And there we have a nice custom shape, which you can always play around with them. Obviously, this could be whatever, but just for this tutorial sick. I just showed you a combination of curves and straight lines. Okay, My straight lines are not too straight by there. That storey straight lights. Any case?
