How are you guys in today's video? Flexi starter. We're gonna be looking at adjusting your line spacing, using the text control points. But before that, let's have a quick intro first, so today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za c dot Today. We make sure that easy to watch problem solving videos, and we have daily updates otherwise, back in the programme here. Now, as you guys can remember the previous video, we had an overview of the control points for editing texts. So just a quick recap to. In order to edit a locate your control points, you select your tax with a normal selection tool and then on your design central panel, you want to navigate to the character or paragraph tip. Now you'll notice we've got all these control boards and like I mentioned, this was number one under our list for line spacing. And then we've got this arrow year which controls overall line spacing. Now what we've got here, we've got our block text and a normal horizontal text, which I've just used enter to make new lines. Obviously, under our block text, we get some extra features here to set the block size. But the reason why I've got both of these is if we use control and shift with our with these points, they will react differently. So now let's start off first with the line spacing for overall, you'll see if you hover your mouse, it will make us two little arrows. If you are ever Harvard at the wrong area or she'll just make another 100 plus, I mean, it's not active. So Harvard. So you find that era, then I can simply just click and drag, and you can see we can adjust the line. Spacing like that works the same with normal horizontal text. You can just increase this or decrease this the line spacing. Then, uh, next up, we've got line spacing for individual lines, So if you click on this little access, you can now move on anything under this one and anything under it or removed. So it's great if you want to make a title and some custom spacing. Likewise, on this side it will work the same, but where they differ with the block text and the normal text, as if I had to use on this one control. So if I keep controlling and then click and move this. You will see. I can move this word individually. So if I want to words closer to each other, I can do that. Where, When it comes to the normal text, we're gonna have to keep shifting. So now if I keep shifting, it will not do that. But what it will do now is you can move it on a horizontal plane. So if you want to offset something from the top word or something like that, you can do it. So it is rather strange the way they work because this one is bound to have the box. That's the way it works. Just in case you guys are gonna ask if I keep, I'm shifting on this one. Then you will see nothing happens. And if I had to go on this one and keep controlling, you get this weird thing where pops it like half of character, just about to the right. But now you can also just up and down. But, um, yeah, unfortunately, when I leave it, it is still half characters sideways, and I think it's because this one is constrained to the block and this one is not of tried and removing that space. But then it just resets it. So that is something to keep in mind. So just a quick recap again. So with the normal text, or are they first with a block text to move this line separately? You keep controlling and then click it and you can see it. The couple down. And then with this one, it will be shifted and move it left or right. I'm starting to keep in mind all of these. If you select one, you can always use your arrow keys and also adjust it as you can see what we can control with your arrow keys and fine adjusted. Same with this one click that he keeps shifting. Use your arrow keys left and right. And then what? You guys will notice this with control arrow keys. You can actually adjust this. So if you're gonna adjust this as same as this one, which you can just make sure you use control key and not the control plus click which will pop it sideways. So I know that's a It's a bit confusing that they work individually like that. But it is good to know that you can do exactly the same things if you use your control and shift keys, I would highly recommend that, as you can see that. But if you're gonna use constraining with your mouth and then this one is limited to control and this one, you can say in many ways it's limited to shift. But it is good to note that you can get exactly the same effect using in controlling your arrow keys and shifting your arrow keys. Otherwise, that is it on line spacing. I hope you guys join me for the next video that will cover part or the 2nd and 3rd control points. Otherwise, we had here to softwaretraining.co.za.
