The General Tab for the Cut and Plot feature is a great place to setup your material and also the send Job type.

Setting the scale of the material enables you to get more accurate final products, plus with the send option you are able to get things going right away, or have the program wait for your go ahead.

by the guys in today's video Flexi starter. We're gonna be looking at the material and sent settings on the general tab for the cutting plot feature. But before that, let's have a quick intro first. So today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za. They'll see that we make sure and easy to watch problem solving videos. And we also have daily updates. Otherwise, we're back on the programme here. Now, just a quick reminder. There's a miniseries on working with a cutting plot feature and I will leave relevant links in the description so you guys can actually follow along now to locate it. It's on your standard toolbar. And then, um, I'm assuming your fingers. Sorry. Button it is on your standard standard two by here, next to the print, you can see we've got this, um, cut and plot. Uh, icon, if you click, that will open up your heart and plot feature. So now in today's video, we're going to start covering the general tab, which is this first tab from the four over your mouth. You can see it says General. Now what we've got here, first up is the material. So this is basically, um yeah, the It's going to be the material, not your actual job or not your actual media. So you can see the media is here at the bottom, and this big block around is the, um, jobs size. And then we also have scales here at the top, which you can see top and side. So now yeah. Sorry. I keep pressing the wrong button. Okay, so then what we have here? First of all, we've got the default scale. As you can see, it's rather lodge. Then you can go under the drop down menu. You can always go use that. Define now. You can actually sit in custom settings over a year. If you were trying something different as you enter, you can see. I mean, you click somewhere. You can see it changes the settings. So now we just set the words to 30. And now if we look on our preview here, we can see it from 0 to 30. So maybe do this 1 20 and then not sure why it doesn't show up here. Let's try and maybe something like 30. Just see if we get a result. Okay. Here. We've got this line. Now we can see the actual active material sizes, so yeah, so the top one will set the actual size of it. And then, um then we've got under that. You can kind of. It's basically like a safety net. You can adjust it in a bit. Or as you can see, we've got left, right, bottom and top, so you can readjust it. So left, right, top and bottom, should I say And then that is all that falls under your material tap then under that, we've got the send mode. Now, this will be the way a response once you send it, once you click at the bottom is sent. So if it's on send now then when you click that once it gets to your, uh, production. Sorry, not project production manager. Then it will automatically, um, send the file to get started working so it won't leave it here for you to confirm. If we go here, we go to hold in list. Then when you click, send it will hate. Hate. Sorry. Uh, words are a bit all over the place today. It will wait here in the actual production manager for you to actually give it a go ahead. So this is nice if you're working in a bigger team or so forth, or you're not quite sure if you want to go yet or you want to do it later so you can set up everything, get ready and get sent. But then just leave it on Holden list and then last up year, we've got saved file, so this will seem as the top sent now, but it will also save a native version of the file. So you have a copy of it. So if you can just send it to a client or something So it's not a project file, but yeah, in any case, So that is, uh, two main settings or the two first settings years. We've got materials on sand and our video is running a bit long, so I'm gonna carry on with a series with the next settings in the next video.
