SAi FlexiSTARTER 19 Resizing Objects with (DC) (Part 1) Scale, Move and Rotate Mini-Series

When it comes to Scaling objects and shapes, the Design Central way is by far the most accurate with measurements.
But one of the big things that sets it apart from the more freehand way with using Control Points is the speed factor.
This video is part of a Mini-Series.
Next video covers Scaling with Control Points.

Hi there, guys. In today's video of Flexi Starter, we're gonna be looking at re sizing objects using the design Central Park. Before that, let's just have a quick intro first, uh, so today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za Z day. We make sure and easy to watch problem solving videos, and we have daily updates. Otherwise, back in the programme here. Now, this is gonna be a miniseries on re sizing objects, and so forth will be covering the scale, the move and the rotation. So then, uh, in this first video, we're gonna be looking at doing it in your design central. I will also leave relevant links in the description so you guys can follow along otherwise to start off with. We wanna first make sure our shape one's sizes selected, so make sure your selection tours selected here, you can press a Yeah, that's selected. And then, for some reason, your design central is not open. You can just navigate your next to undo and redo, and then click that first little icon next to them and I'll bring it up. Now we have kind of covered this briefly in the Design Central miniseries. But today we're gonna just look at re sizing in more depth. So now, first of all, we've got within the height or the horizontal and vertical scale. So the first of all, we can use these little arrows to increase it. As you can see at the moment, it's increasing it as a whole. So as a just this this one also gets adjusted. So in order to change that, we can go here proportional. Make sure that is de selected. Now, if we increase the word as you can see that only the work is being changed the same with height, we increase that now that's the first way you can do it. Another way you can do is just select the text, putting a new value press into or tap saying, Yeah, let's go. Five tab. Okay, they know automatically updated and go to the next values for you. Then, uh, another Nice way we can do this. Let me just set this back so we're not too large. You can also click here and use your up and down arrow keys on your keyboard. So increases scale. You can see it's 5.1 decibel. Uh, and then another way we can do is that we can actually put in some here. So let's say we put the moment. It is for the two. Don't make it too fast or we can go. Times two. You can do a plus necessary times as well of starts not. It's like you're doing that. The times two you can also do plus minus. And the great thing is also you can do percentage. So let's say we want to make this 1 50%. Make sure you select all the text. Then we go just 50%. Then it will scale it by obviously anything over 100 will go to the positive and under 100 will go to the negative. So just keep that in mind. So if we wanna make this now back to four, well, I've got 200% then it's back to full. Then on the year. Lastly, we have the origin you can say from where it's gonna get scaled to so you can choose the centre, which is at the moment. That's how we go from the top corner. Now, if we scale it, it's gonna put proportional answer. You can see it now Let's go to five. And then from the top, that's going to scale it down to the bottom. As you can see that now, what we can do is a beautiful bottom, and then we drop it by one again and scattered to the bottom corner. So that's also something to keep in mind about proportional editing. Now, I'm sorry. I mean, the location. So that is basically it on, uh, scaling it with your design central panel. Next video, we'll be looking at scaling of, uh, little points, Uh, what we can use in combination with a few shortcut keys to change how it behaves Otherwise, If we had here to softwaretraining.co.za hat's here today, we do have a variety of different Softwares. Recover. Also, you can isolate, just search with search feature. Just type in what you're looking for. Hit a little magnifying glass button as well. I find it for you. But if it does not find the video, you can always go to request a training video. Then we will make that video for you. Otherwise, thanks, guys, for watching until next one. Cheers
