SAi FlexiSTARTER 19 Design Central Paragraph Tab (Part 8) Working with Text (1st) Mini-Series

flexistarter designcentral paragraph tab

The Paragraph tab for editing text within FlexiSTARTER 19 is very similar to most document editors, but one to keep in mind.

There can be a few changes from program to program when it comes to the paragraph options, so it is still a good idea to check FlexiSTARTERS one out just in case.

This video is part of a Mini-Series.
Next video covers Paragraph Full Justify.
Previous video covered Character tab.

Video Transcript

Hey, guys, in today's video flexi start and we're gonna be looking at the paragraph tab under the design central for editing text. But before that, let's have a quick intro first. Mm mm mm. So today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za cielo Today we make sure that easy to watch problem solving videos. And we also have daily updates, and I was back in the programme here. Now, just a quick reminder. This is a miniseries on working with text, and I also I will also apologies leave relevant links in the description so you guys can actually follow along. So now, in today's video, we're gonna be looking like I mentioned the paragraph tab now to locate it or to edit, um, your paragraph settings, obviously, like what it takes to you can select individual text, or you can just select it as a whole like I'm doing now. Then go to the paragraph tab here on the design central panel on the far right, and you'll see all our options. So let's quickly just add some texture so that we can see it in action, So yeah. Mm mm. Didn't spell any of that or must smell any of that. Okay, so now what we're gonna do is I'm just gonna select my text, like, normal. We go to the paragraph tab, and then under the options here, you'll see we've got a few different ones. Now, if you're familiar with editing documents, most of these things will be kind of quite easy to understand, but yeah, so but I'm gonna run through it nonetheless. So first of all year, we've got to justify all the line. So I've got the line left. This is like the most most of us are used to the text. Obviously, you can do it, um, centred or from right to left. Now, the next one year, we've got full justify which we will cover in another video saying that there's quite a few settings under this, as we can see. But for now, I'm just gonna leave it here and justify from right to left for the next option. So now obviously here we've got text left to right. And then next to that, we've got a text right to left. So we have to select that. Then you'll see it actually invert all our texts, so it reads it from the right to the left. Which, Yeah, it's rather strange. But again, do it. And then, uh, next up there, yeah, we've also got obviously the little wind direction. So if you wanted your text to go from bottom to the top, then you can obviously do that. And then, yeah, rather simple way of going about it. So this is the main settings for it. And then obviously under here, we've got a few different options. We've got word spacing. So this will be the spaces between your words where it's not the actual I'm spacing between letters that we will find obviously on our actual character and the next we've got the tab distance. So basically what this means if we had to tap something, you know, press press tab to make an equal space, you can sit here. What is the actual distance of the tax so you can actually decrease this? And then, um, you can have it to a settlement. So let's say I mean, you make it one, and then every time I tap is only one, so you can make it more predictable. How far it goes when you tab, your text or your words? Otherwise, that is it on the basis of the paragraph. Like I said, it's kind of self explanatory in many ways. And also, if you use to documents and working with them, you should be rather familiar with this. Otherwise, yeah, if we had year to softwaretraining.co.za. You guys will know that we've got a variety of different Softwares we do cover. And also you can isolate your search on top of right. If you do not, however, find the video you're looking for, you can always get a request. The training video. Then we will make that video for you. But otherwise thanks, guys for watching and chips.
