SAi FlexiSTARTER 19 More Advanced Options (Part 21) Cutting and Plotting Mini-Series

flexistarter advanced option tab

Next up on our list of Advanced Options is the Overcut and Optimize Cutting Order features.

These two options are great when you are working with both strong or sensitive materials and want the best outcome.

This video is part of a Mini-Series.
Next video covers Advanced Tab P3.
Previous video covered Advanced Tab P1.

Hi guys. In today's video flexi starter, we're gonna be looking at the over cut and optimise order feature under the advanced tab for the current plot feature. You know, there's a bit of a mouthful, but yeah, I would say before that, let's have a quick intro first. Yeah, so today's video can be found A softwaretraining.co.za got See, uh, we make sure that easy to watch problem solving videos, and we have daily updates otherwise, back in the programme here. Now, just a quick reminder. There's a miniseries. I'm working with the current plot feature, and I will also leave relevant links in the description so you guys can actually follow along. So now moving on with the advanced feature, we're gonna be looking like I mentioned the intro, the over cuts and the optimised, or optimising the order. So what do you do that? Let's just open our cut and plot feature. You understand the toolbar, then we're gonna head to the last tab under the settings, which is the advanced tab. We've already looked at the first four years, and now the next to is that, um over cut. And then we've got the optimised cutting order. So now you'll see, by default, overcome is enabled, which is good and optimise cutting order. You know, sometimes I would like to rather keep that on because, um, yeah, it will optimise the order of the cutting edge. So then the over cut, um, let me say this is a selected When software is cutting around curves, it will continue cutting around the curse a second time for a specified distance. As you guys can see, this ensures that the distance is cut out. Or should I say the curve is cut out completely. And so otherwise, you might get these little, uh, jagged breaks around those curves in the sense of it doesn't complete the cut so that when you peel it off and then it's got peace, we're still bites, and they can quite can mess up the vinyl, so that's the overcast. But as you can see what develops on which I would agree with then the optimised cutting or optimising cutting order when this option is selected, the objects or cut or plot in the objects they say in the order they were created. So and then, obviously, when it's on the software processes the objects within the specified selection of length before moving to the next section. So yeah. So, like I said, you can see why this one is sometimes nice to live on because in the programme, or sometimes do a better job at the right order other than the way you create it. But yeah, that is it on the next two features, Maybe in the next video we can look at these once again if we can cover more than this in the time period, we can maybe try to finish this in one go. But otherwise we head here to softwaretraining.co.za. You guys will notice you've got a variety of different software studio cover, and also you can isolate your search on the top of right. If you do not, however, find what you're looking for. Jessica here request a training video. Then we will make that video for you. But otherwise, things guys watching and cheers
