SAi FlexiSTARTER 19 Ways to Adjust the Unit Values (Part 2) Unit Values Video Mini-Series

flexistarter adjust unit values

When it comes to adjusting values of different parameters for your units in FlexiSTARTER, there are a few ways to go about it.

There’s a few different ways to go about it depending the workflow and controls you like to use, from keyboard to mouse methods.

This video is part of a Mini-Series.
Next video coming soon Auto Calculate.

how you guys in today's video of the starter, we're gonna be looking at how to adjust the metrical values within flexi started before that. Let's have a quick intro fits so today's video can be found on Let's see that today you guys will notice we have a variety of different software should recover, and also we upload training videos daily. So just give out there for the new content. Otherwise, we're back in the programme here now, in today's video, like I mentioned, are gonna be looking at how to adjust, uh, symmetrical values for shapes that selected. And then it will also be a part of a little miniseries on the units and calculations and the previous video. I will put a link in the description to a video where we looked at how to adjust the units and, uh, but we will be covering it in a few other videos, too. But, uh, let's just look at it so you've got a shape selected, and then, obviously you can move this by just holding and dragging, or you can use your arrow keys on your keyboard. But let's Today we're gonna be looking at how to actually just in your design central panel. And then if you have any of these type of parameters that you want to just how to go about it. So there's a few ways and as we can see here, so we've got to select it. We have, for this is the scale. So we've got scale for the width and the height, and then we've got the location as of just X and y, then it's just basically just horizontal and vertical. And obviously we've got rotation. So all these, uh, settings that have these options, how we can go about adjusting them. So let's start. Maybe with the scale will go here. So now the easiest way you can just obviously increase these numbers with these little arrows, obviously up, and she will increase in size, arrow down the decrease. And as you guys can see, proportional editing is on. Let me keep that off for now. So that would be if I increase just this, then only the worth will be increasing. That's the one way we can do it opposite. Another way. We can actually just click here and adding custom values. I can like three. And then if I click out of it or press, enter it well, adjusted to the new value. So that is another way we can do it. And then we can also, if we keep just clicking here, and then we use our mouse wheel up and down. As you can see, we can also adjust it quite quickly like that. Then another way we can go about it is if we also have a box elected, we can use the arrow keys. So, um, so we got up and down. You can see it also trusted. But one thing to keep in mind is the arrow keys are not relevant to the whether it's the with or the height or horizontally or vertically. So, for instance, let's say we want to do that. Um, horizontal navigation by fresh right and left. You can see we're just navigating between you, so nothing is actually happening here. So what we wanna do is actually use the up and down keys, and this will actually adjust it. So keep that in mind when it's a horizontally or vertically you don't want to be using different keys will always stay up and down. Yeah. So then, uh, that is also something to keep in mind. The same irritation. You can use your mouse wheel. We can eat those little arrows or use actual up in the arrow keys on year. It is also a way to go about it. So then in the next video, we're gonna be looking at some order calculation of, uh, units, but yeah, they're all covered. Just the basic movement of these items. So if we had here, too y, this video, more videos like this is available here, like I mentioned in the intro. And they also we have this nice little search option. If you want to isolate your search, then if you don't find what you're looking for, However, you can always go your request, a training video. Then we will make that video for you. Otherwise, Thanks, guys. Watching until next one. Cheers.
