Alright guys, in today's video flexi starter, we're gonna be looking at masking and unmasking objects. But before that, let's have a quick intro first. Mm. So today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za cielo. Today we make sure that easy to watch problem solving videos and we have daily updates otherwise back in the programme. Yet now masking is a great feature if you wanna isolate a part of your design and only show that this also works on race the images so you can put a photo on your and mask it. Now, a few things to keep in mind about masking which is important, is first of all, the object on top of the other object will work as the mask. So if I have this mask over the shape, it's gonna mask out the actual text here where if I had to over the other way around or mask out whatever is on top of the highest layer, then let's just quickly look at it and we look at a few other features of masking if you wanted to play around with it. So now to do that, your whatever you're gonna mask doesn't need to be grouped. So as you can see, we've got individual or blocks here. This could be an image and so forth just has to be selected with the mosque when you finally want to make the mosque. So now I'm gonna drag a selection box of all of this. Now there's a few ways can go over and masking of the show You the standard babe. And then we look at the quick way. So the standard way we can go to our main menu on top here click a range and then we go to mosque and the year we see we've got mask on mask and a masked ball. So now if we, uh sorry. So the quick way with everything selected, we just right click and then we'll see right at the bottom on the drop down menu or the pop up menu we've got mask. Once we click this, you will see it used that text and it's turned into your mask force. Now you can obviously right click it go to unmask the bottom. So when we mastered or what you can also do is with your object selected, you go to your arrange on the main menu like before we go to mosque and we say Unmask, you know that You can see we've got all our shapes back individual little blocks Now when it comes to mask and that's another thing you can do. You can use multiple shapes to create a mosque. So let's say we've got circle here. Then we make a rectangle next to it. Obviously, you can be whatever shapes, but just for the demo sake. Now, if we select everything, one thing you must keep in mind. So we got a mask. It's only gonna mask the layer that some of the highest level So basically the last one, we added, Unless you set the or adopt. So let's just undo this and then obviously set the order of the object. You can right click it. You go to order and then you can bring it one forward, send it to the back and so forth. But now, if we want to make a mosque with these two shapes and we'll have to first group. So in order to do that, we select both of them. I just use shift there and clicked on the other one. I can see we both with both them selected. Then we wanna group. But we can also go to arrange on top and then we go to group and then group control G is a shortcut or we can also go right leg combine and group. And now, once we've grouped this, you can see it treated as one shape. Then we just repeat the process. So select everything. Right? Click mask. There you go. We've got a nice little mosque of that pattern we've got with individual shapes. So yeah, that is it on masking. If we had year to softwaretraining.co.za y, guys will notice. We do have a variety of different Softwares we cover and also you can isolate. Just search here on the top of right.
