Going About Adding and Managing of Grids within the SAi FlexiPRINT RTUV 22 Software
flexiprint add manage grids
Grids, like with the Guides feature will help you accomplish designs that have to stay within strict design requirements.
The great part of using Grids is that it can be combined with other management tools as well.

Alrighty, guys. In today's video, we're gonna be looking at grids and how to set them up with in flexi print. But before that, let's have a quick intro first. So today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za. co dot Z A. We make short and easy to watch problem solving videos, and we also have daily updates. Now, if we get into the programme here. So like I mentioned in the intro today, we're gonna be looking at grids and this is great if you have design requirements and you wanna make sure you stick within them. So perhaps you wanna, um, align objects so they're all in their own little grid or you adding text and that and you want some form of guidance and, um, yeah, you can do that. You can also obviously snap things to grids. So that way it forces your design to stick within it. Um, which can also be handy now in order to view our grid, what we need to do. There's two ways we can go about it. This way we can go here under our main menu. Then we choose the view and we navigate down till we see the show option. And on the show, we can see we have here the previous ones we looked at. But now we have your show grid. So if I click grid, you can see currently we can now view our grid. Great. It's light grey. So, uh, I don't know if you can see it well on this video, but if I zoom in here, you can see there. Now, At the moment, you can see our grid is set to every five centimetres, seeing that our units are set here to centimetres. So, um, let's say you wanna adjust this for obviously design reasons. Then in order to do that, what we can do is we can right click here. Then we go to ruler and grid, then on the grid or the grid tab on top. Here, you'll see we have spacing. So here we can say so. It doesn't have to be, uh, you know, consistent. You can have one that's, uh, different or horizontal versus vertical, which is handy under that we have some snap to grid and S uh, show grid as dots. This can sometimes be handy if your grid is too distracting. You can say OK, now you can see our grid is little dots. I personally like, uh, to show the grid as the grid itself. So let's just quickly set that back like so Now, another way we can go about this, which is very handy, or at least showing the grid on that. Is that is we open our snap to, uh how can I say, uh, toolbar. So in order to do that, we're gonna go on our main or primary tool bar area on top by the white space. Then what I wanna do is I wanna right, click this and then, uh, navigate down till we see one called snap two. As we can see currently, it's not enabled. It doesn't have a check, Mark. So I'm gonna click that, and it's gonna open up this snap to T ball. Now, you could simply just leave it and drag it somewhere else on the display if you want. But what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna go here right next to the button where it's not highlighted, lighted left, click, hold and drag it onto this open wide space on our main to release. And then you'll see it's do it for us. We can obviously grab these and rearrange it where you want it. But yeah, so this way it is on. But now you'll see here far, right. We have a button. If we ho, it's called show grid. So now we can quickly show and hide the grid. We can do the same with the snapping. And, uh so this is a very handy tool bar. I would recommend you, uh, bring this one in as well, just so that if you working with grids snapping and guides, this one will be very quickly to adjust that. But yeah, otherwise, in the meanwhile, though, if we head here to softwaretraining.co.za. co dot Z a you guys will notice we've got a variety of different Softwares we do cover. And you can also isolate your search here on the top, right? If you do not, however, find the training videos you're looking for, just simply go here, request the training video, fill in the mini form, and then we'll do our best to try and make that for you. But otherwise thanks, guys, for watching and cheers
