FabriCAM Software Finding More Vector Art Online (Part 4) Step by Step Video Tutorial

Now that you know how to get detailed vector art parts into the FabriCAM Software, lets look at the fun part.

When it comes to the part which is the most enjoyable, it will most of the time be finding cool looking Vector designs.

Hi guys. In today's video, we're gonna be looking at a few different places where we can find some more back the art parts. But before that, let's have a quick intro first. So today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za. And we make short and easy to watch problem solving videos. And we also have daily updates. Now if we head into the tutorial here. So now, in the previous video, we looked at how to import things into the programme, adjust it and so forth. But now let's look at how you can actually get your own custom, um, or own vectors. Now there's two main ways we can go about it. The one way is we can make it ourselves, which obviously takes time. And we're not gonna be covering all that because that's a whole another tutorial or me or large, uh, series in itself. But yeah, for that, you can use something like Adobe after fix. I mean, not a after fix is already Adobe illustrator, which you're gonna be paying for, and then you have a free alternative, which is something like, um scape. I use quite often, which is quite handy. But both of these you're gonna have to obviously learn some tutorials how to use the programme itself as well. Now, the alternative to that is we can just simply download one, and, uh, sometimes this can be very convenient. Sometimes you have to look a bit more to try to find what you're looking for. But it is definitely a nice alternative now from that, and there's two main ways we can go about it. And one is we download it from paid sites. So you make a subscription, you can buy it and you use it for commercial use and so forth. Another way we can go about it is using free sites. So then you can actually, um, download it for free, use it on your work, but you're not. You don't always have such, um, a nice variety when it comes to the free sites. So just keep that in mind Now, after I have a few year open so we can look at it's not by no means the best or the best out there, but it's definitely a good place to start. I'll show you also how you can find more. So now, first of all, here we have, um uh, ve easy. So make sure your search settings set your vector, and then you can use this place to search for what you're looking for. You just type in here and then try to find it. They also have plans here. So if you want to look at their pricing options like I said, some sites give you better pricing. Some is like a big lump sum. So if you know, you're gonna get a lot of vectors or you have to get vectors over a lot of time and you can do that other ones again, you can just buy like a vector at a time, which is convenient, then the next one for paid. We've got your vector stock the same thing. You can search in here and look for what you're looking for. And then, yeah, when it comes to free, we have your, um, free P i K. So same thing. You can search in here what you're looking for. Just make sure you set your results to vector. Otherwise, you're gonna be finding videos and photos and so forth, and then the next one on my list Here. We've got Vector for free. Same thing. Type in. Yes, search what you're looking for. Some of these sites keep in mind you have to register in order to download for free. So it's not 100% free because they actually want your contact details, which there's always a saying in the open source community, You know, if something is free, they, uh, basically require nothing on your part. Otherwise, it's not free information costs, but yeah, in any anyways, it's still convenient. You can still do it. And also on a side note, like a lot of these sites, you can still get free things. So if I look here, you can see here's one it says free free. So it doesn't mean just because of the paid side that everything is gonna be paid. Same here on the vector stock. If I zoom in on top here, you will see we have the two options. We've got all vectors and we've got free vectors. So just make sure when you're downloading free things that, um, the licencing allows you to be able to use it for commercial use and another way we can go about it Or at least before we go, You can always go. Yeah, let's say, um, top three vector back to sites and then they'll give you some nice recommendations as well. As you can see, we've got your free pick or free P I k. And a few different ones. You can do the same if you take free away. It will just give you top, uh, vector sites. So then, um, it's very convenient. If you want to look for more site or maybe you want a better pricing, then there's another way we can go about getting vectors. Now, Um, what you can do is like, let's say I go Victor or Victor and then, uh, sorry. And then we say, Maybe car search that and we go to Google. It's on Google and I go to images and then you can see we've got some vector here knife. I wanna isolate a bit. So it's not so many images. I wanna go to tools over here or photo, shall I say. And then I wanna go to colour and then say black and white. Now, this will already give us way more, um, option for vectors. You can also, um, set a few things like type. If you go clipboard or line out, you'll get more vectors. And the other one I like to do is go here to use rights. And I go, um, Creative Commons licence. So I know it's all free stuff, and then you can select the image. You can click on this link and it will take you to the website. So if you want to see what else they have there, which is convenient, or you can right click these images and then you can save them and so forth. Now what we're gonna do in the next video, I'm gonna show you guys how we can use the image we downloaded. That is just a normal image. So this one, I have the option to download it. But let's say we didn't have the option to download it in a S V g type file format. Then I'll show you how we can convert it to a vector, which is quite convenient.
