FabriCAM Software Auto Save Numerical Control Files (Part 9) Step by Step Video Tutorial

When it comes to the option to save your Numerical Control files being a bit tricky, you might be interested in its auto save feature.

With the Auto Save feature for the Numerical Controls, we have a few different options that we will be looking at.

All right, guys, In today's video, we're gonna be looking at How to save or Auto Save our N C files, and this will be for favorite camp software. But before that, let's have a quick intro first, so today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za z. We make sure and easy to watch problem solving videos. We also have daily updates. Otherwise, we're back into the programme here. Now, to order, say, files, we're gonna have to go into the configuration file, which, if you've never been in there, it can be quite intimidating. We're obviously not going to be looking at everything or all the configurations just yet. For the N. C or N. C. Files. We're just gonna be looking at how we can also save files now in order to go into your configuration. There's two places we can find it. It's either under your main menu on top and the configuration or under our primary toolbar, the configuration. Because, as you guys might have noticed, it is currently great out. Which means even if I click on this, nothing will happen. It's in order to fix that. We have to go out of our actual N, C and Cam to have this available. So as you can see now we can see the actual configuration. Same with the top menu. It is available. Then what we wanna do is I want to click on this, wait for it to load. And as you guys can see, we have multiple tabs with a lot of setting. So if I go to the N C tab, which is where we'll find out what options we click on, that it's gonna load up RNC Confederation, which is also quite intimidating. But the section we're looking for is the N C file generation. So we've got it here. The NSE file generation, we've got a few different options we can set. So first of all, the path, which is quite important, this is where it's gonna save it, too. So I'm gonna select this and then, uh, yeah, I'm actually just gonna keep it where it is because I'm not gonna order save my files. But this is where you will be doing a seal. Go navigate to where you want to save your actual NT files as we've got the project name. So this will be what will be saving it. As so let's say I make mine. Cam. Uh, minus. Let's go. Am I don't have thoughts working this C e o. Okay, let's just fix that. One dot Yeah. Okay. Now it looks like it's not liking the dot so Okay, so there we go. Got it. Right. So we'll just add your am got together today. This will be the project files, and I want to go there. It should be dot n c when it finally saves it. Then after that, we've got some more settings, so file extension. So this is the dot n c. We can go d X f as well, but this is mostly if we want to look at how to do it as n c files. So we've got a file extension. Want to reach A N. C. And we'll leave the save as as N. C. And after that, we've got a few, uh, has a three different settings. So we've got the automatic current sheet and automatic whole sheets. Now, if you select any one of these two, it's gonna automatically save your n C files. But I would say perhaps keep it on whole sheets in case you're working with multiple sheets, then automatically save all of them. So these top two is for automatic savings. The bottom one. If you leave it on manual, you will have to mainly save it every time yourself. So yeah, otherwise that is it on setting up automatic N c. Safer. So just a quick recap. We've got the path which is important when you're gonna be safe to the name of it. Then we've got the file extension, which is gonna be N c and save as well. Leave us N c. Then to make. It ought to say, if we want to select either automatic current sheet or automatic whole sheets and then you can simply say apply And okay, I'm just gonna cancel out because I'm gonna leave mine on manual. But yeah, otherwise, that's it. On saving or auto saving your insect files. It's quite handy if you use it often.
