When it comes to file formats that we will be covering for exporting print job reports, the RTF is most likely the oldest.
The Rich Text Format (RTF) is a proprietary document file format with published specification developed by Microsoft Corporation from 1987.

How are you guys? In today's video? We're gonna be looking at exporting our print reports as a rich text format or also known as R T F. But before that, let's have good geographers. So today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za z. We make short and easy to watch problem solving videos. We also have daily updates. Otherwise we're back into the programme here. Now I'm just gonna quickly back to the print and then we keep the information the same. And then we go to our actual export Now from the the actual export, we want to go to our savior's type again, we're gonna go all the way down to the R T f. Now you can see there's two different drugs ones. We've got the r T f the Microsoft Word, and then we've got the rich text format. Now you'll see the marks of word once is editable So I mean, obviously, if you wanted to edit it, you can still do that. Now, when it comes to the actual format, it's gonna put in the name. Here are TF now. Yeah, this one has been around for Donkey's years. As they say, it's a I think about 35 years old already was introduced in 1987. The developer is by Microsoft, and I was originally designed, obviously a rich text format, So it's obviously a whole more than just text in it. So, uh, you can do the formatting and all of that. And I think it was originally purpose to kind of do like a form of cross platform document so you can interchange the different Microsoft type products. So, yeah, it's a nice one. But once again, it's, um unless you actually have a need for it. Once again, my default is P D F. But a lot of these formats are nice if you wanna do editing. So if you want to edit it and then, um, re export as a PdF, it's fine. And obviously the other cases let's say a client is looking for something specific. Then, um, you know, if he's saying now, I want rtf file, then Okay, cool. You send him out there because chances are he's got a programme he uses that requires that type of format. We just opened it here. You can see this is inside a normal words. It's not exile and everything is laid out pretty neatly. We obviously don't have columns separating things properly, but this is quite a sort of a decent you consider this is just a text document or a word document.
