fabricam basic shapes practical exercise
Now that we have covered all the different basic shapes available for CAD, lets put them to the test.
A practical exercise is always a good way to try and retain more of the information that you have learned.
This video is part of a Mini-Series.

How are you guys in today's video? We're gonna be looking at a practical for the basic shapes. Many serious, and this will be for the cat feature. But before that, let's have a quick intro first. So today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za z. We make sure that I used to watch problem solving videos and we also have daily updates That was weird into the programme here. Now, Uh, yeah, we've already covered all the basic primitive shapes, So we've got the rectangle circle and we've got the triangle and a long I've got two versions of that. So what I want you guys to do in this practical, it's gonna require you to think a little bit of the box when it comes to placement thing that we haven't covered that properly yet. But what I want you guys to do is add one shape of eat next to each other and then with how long, though. Make sure that you try at one on a vertical plane and one on a horizontal plane. So you have at least two of those and yeah, they will kind of help you guys with understanding the angle and the placement. But otherwise, palsy a try it if you, um finally done and you don't come right, Or perhaps you do. But you're curious. Then you can just run through our show, so I will run through the process. I took two places. Yeah, otherwise Porsche. And I'll get back to you guys shortly, Okay? Sure, if you guys try that. But I'm gonna quickly run through this with you guys, so I'm gonna just selling all these shapes and remove them. First of all, I'm gonna start with my rectangle. I'm gonna leave my original centre just because all of these other shapes work of centre, it will make the replacement a little bit more simple. Then what I'm gonna do, I'm gonna go 100 by 100. So within height, then say, Okay, then. Single placement, click. Leave everything as is and say place where we have our first shape. Then I'm gonna go to the circle Circular one gonna 100 again. Keep the dimensions very similar. Single placement or something. I'm gonna go about 1 10. So we've got a little bit of a spacing on the X axis say okay and place that now I'm gonna go to the triangle instead because I want to unique placements next to that. So I'm gonna make this one's height. Let's say 80. I don't wanna be exactly square to the with or exactly the same height as with, so I'll make the with 100. Say Okay, but your placement in the summer, I'm gonna go to 20. We've got our triangle now. I'm gonna go to the long this one and gets a bit more complicated. So I'm gonna make the worth 150 not 500. Say Okay, placement. And then I'm gonna go this time. 3. 30. Say Okay, there. We've got that one. Now, let's have the variation. So if you guys can remember, we set these settings the same instead. We just put a licence or 90 degree angle their rotation say okay. And then I'm gonna say placement. So I'm gonna just cut off a little bit of everything for 40. I'm gonna go for 30 just fits in a bit more snugly. And there we go. We've got all our shapes or basic shapes placed. And like I mentioned before this can be a great building. Blocks like you can use a triangle on top of the square and create another shape. Perhaps put a circle around the triangle and then you can have, like, a circular, uh, cut out with an inner cut out of a triangle, as you can imagine. So you can use this also as a bass combined with these tools on the left to create more unique things. But yeah, otherwise, that is it. On the practical hope you guys enjoyed the little miniseries is really just the introduction to basic shapes. So a lot more advanced things we can do, which we will try to cover in future videos. But yeah, otherwise, in the meanwhile, if we head here to softwaretraining.co.za z, you guys will notice we've got a variety of different Softwares we do cover. You guys can also isolate your search on the top, right? If you do not, however, find the training videos you're looking forward. Just simply go. Yeah, request the training video fit in the mini form and then we'll do our best to try and make that for you. But otherwise thanks guys for watching. And she is
