VinylCut 5 the Canned Effect to Wrap Shapes around a Cylinder shape, Step by Step Video

The Canned effect will curve lettering as if it were wrapped around a cylinder type shape and viewed at an angle.

This is a great effect if you trying to make the illusion of depths, If combined with the use of gradients and shadows you are able to achieve some great looking graphical designs.

Okay, guys, in today's video, I'll cut. We'll be looking at the canned effect. Let's just have a quick intro here. Today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za. Today we have a variety of different Softwares. We do cover there, and also we upload videos daily. So just keep an eye out for any new content. Otherwise, we're back in the programme. Yeah, now they can effect is a nice effect. If you want to make something that looks like it's wrapped around a cylinder, so, uh, to locate it, let's select our shape. You need to click on it or drag a selection box over it, and then you want to go to a top menu, you go to effects, and then we go down to a fine cat. We're hoping this, and now we have a few options here from its pop up menu. Now, as you can see, I don't know if you can. It's a fine line here, representing the kind of shape, the angle and that on the cylinder. So then, under its settings, we have two settings here. We've got the angle and diameter you, so the angle is just quickly. No, it's not with the angle. Now, if we adjust this to the positive, you'll see this kind of the angle of the camera. And if you can see nicely there, how it changes on the camps, the mat. So if you wanted to look at the can more from the top down, and then the diameter kind of how large the can. So you can see now it's not wrapping a lot as you go smaller. It started at the edges and started wrapping it more and more around the camp until eventually you're making a fool bills via or rather, Celinda Circle. She was a very interesting effect that you can wrap it right around, but in any case, so it's kind of you can say the size or the yeah, the size of the the actual camp, but with and then, yeah, so that is the basics on the canned feature to be quite a fun one to play around.
