vinylcut cut layers tab

Using layers tab for cutting is a great way to have separate cut settings for different shapes and groups.

This video is part of a Mini-Series on the Cut Settings. Next video covers Cut Orientation.
In the Previous video we covered the Cut Order.

Yeah. How are you guys? In today's video? I'll cut. We'll be looking at the latest tab under the covers settings, but let's have a quick intro first. Mm mm. So today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za t 60. We have a variety of different Softwares we do cover, and also we have, but we just daily. So just keep an eye. Therefore, any content otherwise back in the programme here. Now, just a reminder. This is a miniseries on the cut settings, which can be located on top here with this little paper and the pen, or put links in the description so you can follow along with a series. Otherwise, I'm to, uh, to use the layers under the cut settings. There's a few things we have to first set up, so if we navigate here to our cut setting the colour settings, then we'll see. There's a preset option or area. We've already covered this, but we just run through it quickly again. So basically what you can do is you set up a basic settings the way you like it, and then you click this little plus. Then I asked you to save the preset. You can choose what? Under the precepts you want to save one of the settings. I've already gone ahead and set up two presets. Yes, so I've got a preset one and part two. So then, um now what we wanna do is assign process to preset. Sorry to lay it. So we'll go to our layers panel here on the right. First click a little some the Grammys, and then this is the background. So we select the first one. Then we navigate to our style space age, which is this little span on the right and the presets. We'll be selecting preset one, and then you just repeat this step for your background and said that Appreciate, too. So now these cut lines will have a certain preset, and the background will have another preset. Then what you can do is say you navigate back to your kata. Then we navigate to the latest tab and make sure you use layers. Presets, I am is selected and you'll see here. We've got to appreciate one or two. You can still this available in here on the side, like normal. But now what will happen especially if separate jobs on your cut, and then once it is ready, then it will pause. And then I ask you what you want to do. Cut the next one, which is nice. But also just a note to keep in mind If your let's say your layer and the little stickers on the top layer and your backgrounds on the bottom line that you want and then what you wanna do is under the order on the top right here by the preview. If we select this now, yeah, we're gonna choose here. What order? When the cuts are starting, in our case will say and lay your order front to back. So what will happen now? It will start with the top layer and then, um, cut towards the back. So if let's say your settings are so different for the little guys, too outside border, then it first cuts that and then it kind of readjust the blade and it cuts the outside. So just keep that in mind when you're gonna be playing. And, yeah, two, you can stay here for both presets. So yeah, that's a basic on the layers. It's a bit more of an advanced tool, but, uh, I do need it. You do need it. Otherwise we had to final cut. Uh, the programme is freely available here. Just navigate to the downloads page. Otherwise, the softwaretraining.co.za Uh, we, um like I mentioned, we've got a variety of different Softwares we do cover. And also, you can isolate your search on top here if you're looking for anything specific. Otherwise, if we don't find you're looking forward, just go request a training video, and then, yeah, we'll make that for you. Otherwise, thanks, guys, for watching and cheers.
