You are able to not only select objects of the same color quickly, but also be able to change their colors in one go.

All right, guys, in today's video and true, that already works. So we're gonna be looking at how to select layers or should I say objects and shapes according to their layer colour. But before that, let's have a quick intro first, Mm, Mhm. Mm. So today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za z. We make sure an easy to watch problem solving videos, and we also have their updates otherwise, back in the programme here. Now, just a quick reminder. Uh, get back there that this is a miniseries on the selections in different ways to go about selecting. I will also leave relevant links and description so you guys can actually follow it alone. Now, in today's video, we're gonna be looking at selecting items like I mentioned according to colour. As you can see here, we've got a few different colours and, uh, yeah, we can quickly navigate through and group them accordingly or remove them by colour. You can also use this as a quick method to change colour, which I will show you now. So now to do this, it is rather simple. On our control panel. You're on the right. You can see we've got these layers or layer colours. And then, uh, if you just click these nothing will happen if you double click them will open dialogue box of their layer and so forth. But it has nothing to do with selecting. So let's say we want to select the greens. Then what you wanna do? You actually wanna right? Click on the colour here. So with your mouth is not left click right click Then you'll see that will become red, which means they are now active under that same with a light blue or with that darker blue. We can also do that. We just simply right click it and then it will highlight These wants to make an active. However, that being said, it is good to keep in mind that, uh, this does not work with group players and I will show you guys know what I mean? So let's say I've got these ones. It's grouped, and, uh so whether it's different colours in a group of same colours does not work. So now let's group these two together group function so we can see that they are grouped now if I right click this colour, you'll see. It only selects that Green wants you on the left because these ones who are within a group So that is something to keep in mind. And to note it can be rather confusing if you don't know it and you try to select all of them and doesn't select all your colours. So group players doesn't work it simply just group them. Then if you want to select by colour and then with them all selected. If you want to change the colour, you can obviously just go here at the bottom and then select a new colours, maybe black. So this is a very quick way of changing colours. But keep in mind once you've made the change, now it's under the black list, so that green layer is no longer there. So now if you want to change the two green again, it's gonna select all the black players for you, as which can be a problem. So we text or whatever you know which every other shapes are also black. So I'm gonna undo that. So if you do do it, um, just keep that in mind that it will then throw it under a new category like we saw that remove it. So let's say we make at the light blue. The green is gone now only the light blue is active. So now I have no idea which ones used to be green, so it can be tricky. But like I said, just keep that in mind. But this is a very nice way to quickly change colours. If you want a preview, different colours or colours, maybe too light or you wanna work for something darker. But yeah, that is it on the selecting objects and shapes by their colour.
