When it comes to tracing images and shapes, we have a few ways, but this is by far the best way.

The great thing about using this method of tracing, with the Import Background tool, is that the background image never gets in the way.

All right, guys, In today's video, we're gonna be looking at tracing in a truck that already works, and this will be the vinyl cut versus Crocodilian Works tracing series. But before that, let's have a quick intro first, so today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za. We make sure an easy to watch problem solving videos, and we also have daily updates otherwise back in the programme. Yeah, now, just a quick reminder. Like I mentioned, this is a very serious on the vinyl cut versus truck that already works tracing. And then I will also leave relevant links and description so you guys can actually follow it along now tracing. We've covered this in both programmes, but we've not put them side by side yet, and that's why we're covering the practical again. So now we just covered the basic free hand tracing in a final cut who went rather smoothly. I did not expect it to go smooth. Normally, I, well, rather hate to cheque out already works for tracing, saying that the handles and that to me work a bit better. So now I would normally go about this first thing I go to file on top, you know, the import background, locate the image, will use the same image. Put it in, then under my main menu. Again, we got to config page settings and at the bottom here, we've got to the location and size and so forth. I was going to scale this up a bit. Keep the lock on and then say modify sides Say Okay, now this thing is ready. So zooming and then let me just, you know, just to make sure, because this thing's navigation again, it is a bit buggy. So you're gonna have to weigh your options all the time. Okay, so now I'm gonna go to the politician tool. I'm sorry. I'm gonna get to the curves that we've got a curve like before. I will select the starting point, move to the next point left, click there and then find the middle left, click and hold in. Now drag this point. And, like always make sure this line as parallel to your horizon as possible. It just makes the overall shape more symmetrical when you're finally doing it, then close the curve. But as you guys can remember the curve is not really close, so I'm gonna select one point. Okay, Let's try that again. Got to know why Did different this time with the baths closed. These videos are surprisingly today with not wanting to work with me. And we're working with me too. Well, so in any case, uh, then I'll zoom out here and then, um, last time what I'll do, I'll simply just go again to config, then page settings, and then we go clear background you on the bottom right click that will take away our reference sample. And then you go, We've got a shape traced. Well, simple. Like I said, the control arms for true cut already works. I really like because they kind of, uh, me closer to the standard. I'm used to where the threshold for actually moving them or being able to activate them is a little bit larger than vinyl cut. Then I would say in our last little video, we're gonna just be looking at tracing or using the tracing tool within final cut. And I would say definitely that is the easiest way to go about tracing things. But sometimes just a simple trace does the job quite well.
