Object on Path is a great feature when creating more dynamic looking designs.
This feature is great as it allows you to not only add shapes to paths but text as well. With the follow Path Orientation and Warp To path options you able to make shapes not only follow the path, but also change it’s shape to fit the path better.
Hi there, guys. In today's video, we're gonna be looking at putting objects on parks to the quick intro. Yeah, so today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za ll together. Today we have a variety of different subsets we do cover, and also we have blood videos daily. So just keep buying their for any new content. Otherwise, back in the programme here now, it's quite a few options we have to cover. So, uh, those tools so we'll be flying through the tutorial. And also good thing to keep in mind that the object on top of the path will be wrapped around the path or rather, that object in the foreground. So if this so called to be on top of the arrow will try and wrap it around this arrow where instead, the, um, arrows on a higher level than the path. So, uh, it's good to keep in mind. Otherwise, if we select this makes Election Cube around it, we go on top here to x, and then we go down to object on path. Now from the pop up menu, first things we don't always want to do is make sure you put water preview on Otherwise, you will not know why you're not getting any beat back when you change values. Then first thing we've got here is start offset. So if your justice, or be where things start, will show you that with a text. Then next up, we've got. Repeat. So we select here, we can select how many Arabs we want and the spacing between them. And you can always try and go here the bottom stretch to path length, and I'll try and fit all those areas around the circle. Okay, so we're gonna not do that. We're gonna go to full part on the full path, length under repeat and the same thing. You can choose the arrows if you want, like a formal border or something. And our kids will be just to demonstrate to. Then we have the option of alignment. Will show that also with text. Then we've got crop. This you can choose. If you want to crop the outside of the inside inside of the path, everything in it will be removed or like white on the outside. Okay, so there are none. Follow follow part orientation. If we de select us and you'll see the arrows don't follow the past orientation. It's orientation and just follows. Still around the path then we have here. Next up, reverse, um path Order as you can see, the arrows. Once we select this, the Paris will be going in the opposite direction. We have Well, this is a handy tool. If you select this on, then once you click OK, it won't make a lot of arrows, but only one layer with one era. So if you want to keep it on one layer and that's good what you do, we have removed path. Remove original object. So I'll be the original object. They will be removed and then we have walked to path. So if you can see we want to select this how the errors walk around the the party. Yeah. See, It's pretty can make some nice graphics and then we've already covered stretched apart. So now if we click OK, now you're on the right. You can see that it is one layer. It's pretty convenient. Now, if you wanna text around this circle, you can do that obviously with the text arc tool. But if this, um let's say this has already been converted to our objects. No longer text. And this is a nice way to do it. Once again, make sure anything you wanna put on a path of higher on a higher layer than actual object. So if we select first to the select the header and the shape we go to path object on path. And now for this one, we want to also make sure previous on, and we wanna start off set. I'm gonna sit this. I started three so close to the centre. Okay, just go to the negative. Now, we'll leave most of these settings spacing all of that. Then we'll go to alignment, and then this one will put on the bottom. And I was a bit confusing, but any case, it's, uh, bottom of the path. So, uh, yeah, and then you can set the offsets. If you want some white spacing around. Just quite convenient, then, um, once again, you can say follow path orientation or not. If you want to have it circled around it well put wild on. And then to, um, have the future. Now we'll be selecting. It keeps shifting and select your path and We got your effects. Optical path. Now for this one, we actually wanted to select reverse path order. But let's first quickly set this again. Yeah, about 2.9, and we see how far we are from the centre one down. Well, if you done, then now we're gonna do is go reverse path order. Now, when we select this, you'll see it throws it on the bottom and then alignment. This time we want to set this top. Now we got the offset. And then now it's gonna work in a negative. Um, amounts. He actually take it to the nigger like wild on. And then you say, Okay, now you can see it's nicely around the bottom. Otherwise, guys, that is the basics on the settings on the path. Object to path. And then if we just head to our website here, do you guys navigate your softwaretraining.co.za ? Not so you can find this video and more videos like this as you'll notice we've got quite a variety of different software. We do cover, and we have such options on top here. If you're looking for anything specific, if you cannot find any training videos, you're looking for and we don't cover it yet. Welcome to request the training video here, and then we'll make that for you Otherwise. Guys, thank you for watching and cheers.
