VinylCut 5 Combine Overlapped Designs to Avoid Individual Cutouts, Step by Step Video

vinylcut combine overlapped vector

Combine vector designs is a basic editing feature of VinylCut software. When several vector shape overlapped, without combine, the vinyl cutter will cut each design individually, create a difficulties to apply.

Combine designs together will result a large single piece vinyl cutout, and make vinyl application much easier.

hi there Today, I'm going to show you how to combined overlapped designs to avoid them being cut out individually. Like these two hearts. If you just cut them like this, you will get the two hearts with an overlap, and you actually want to cut them so that they can be applied as one vinyl. Today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za softwaretraining.co.za s lots of videos about how to solve specific software problems in real use cases. New videos uploaded daily Okay, now let's show you how to merge two objects in final cut software. First, I want to go to our library panel, drag a simple shaping. It's just scale it. Make a copy of that so you can see the overlap. Then you want to go to our full and stroke panel on the right, click the full colour and send it to none. Now we can only see the outline so we can easily see the overlap. Let's do the same with the other heart. Then you want to select. Both were dragging a selection box over both objects. Make sure it goes over the waters because if we only select a portion or not all the way, nothing will be selected. So once again, let's select the two hearts. Then we want to right click, go to path and select Union. Now, when once we've selected union, you will see the overlap disappear. Now it's a single vinyl alternative way. We can also do this as we go on top to the top menu and we select path and we say union shortcut key for this. As you can see, it's all to you. And once we've selected this, you will see the same result happen. I have one single vinyl, thank you guys for watching this video. And if you would like to see more videos like this, visit softwaretraining.co.za got See, uh, you can navigate by software name, version and select the topic. You would like to watch you search the challenge you're facing. If you do not find the answer you're looking for, you can also submit a request here so we can make the video for you until next time. Cheers.
