Understanding what the settings for the Mat Template Feature does will make adding templates a breeze.

Being able to set the rotation, position and scale of the template helps you to have the perfect layout when it comes to the final print or cut design.

Hi there, guys. In today's video final cut, we'll be looking at the settings for the design. Matt templates. This is I have a quick intro. Yeah. So today's video can find on softwaretraining.co.za hat CNN's away. We have a variety of different Softwares. We do cover, and we upload videos daily. So keep your eye there for any content. Otherwise, back in the programme here. Just a reminder. This is a miniseries on the mat templates. So, uh, I'll put a link in the description to the previous video which was covering the basic overview of the interface. But today we'll be just looking at the settings options here at the bottom left. And then, uh, yeah, and then after that, how to do custom ones in the next video. So, in any case, so if we get to the settings here after you've selected your right template, the Met, uh, sorry. I've been myth can go to the settings here. And the first one, um, sets the position. So if we look on the right and a preview as a justice, we can see the position gets adjusted as well. So then, um then what? We can do then, obviously, is for for, uh, horizontal and vertical. I make this for maybe two, about 20.5. Just get that bit more in the middle, then under that, we've got the flip and mirror options so we can mirror it horizontally or very clear. Then we also full colour. It's a bit hard to see the full colour here, but there is a little box here on the right where if you click that they will pop up your colours. So let's say we just changed this to like a light blue and to the right by the view we've got what we have selected Oven mitt custom settings and keep proportions. So now what this does is that say I adjust the width of this tube 10 inches. Then, as you can see on the right, it stretches it. So now I'll have to set this one to get it more in proportion. Uh, sometimes you wanna set custom ones. Um, but in most cases, if you're working with, the template is probably just keep this keeper portions on. Then if let's say we set this to 10 inches, then, as you can see, it keeps the proportions? No, she said that back to default. Then. If you click OK your throat to your mat, then obviously you can throw your design on there. Let's say you've major design. Then what you do is, um, you can if we can get to preview, you should notice that only the hot stuff being highlighted as a design. So I mean, when you find your prints or cut whatever it is, it will not do the template or only do the design. And that is why we use templates because it's quite convenient like that. Then let's say you want to remove this, Um, you can just click their show template and then it's no longer there or you go to set template. And then in the bottom year, we have an option called remove Click that will remove it for you. You can also just change the design. You click OK, and then we'll change. But let's move. Okay.
