CorelDraw RouterCAM Contour Milling Process Example (Part 1), Step by Step Video Tutorial
routercam contour milling process example
Now that we have looked at all the different settings for the Contour Milling Toolpath, how do we go about using this on a job.
In this video we will be going through the basic process of what you could be using for the Contour Milling as an example.
This video is part of a Mini-Series.
Next video covers Pocket Milling.

Hi guys. In today's video, we're going to be looking at some basic examples of the process you can take for the front CNC machining, and this will be four router camp. But before that, let's have a quick intro first. So today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za. Got so we make sure and easy to watch problem solving videos. And we also have up its otherwise back in the programme here. Now, like I mentioned, this is going to be an example of the process you can take using contour Million. Obviously the settings I'll be setting or very depending on your project and there might be one or two other things that you might want to do different. This is just, uh, like I said example of what it could look like, and we'll be running through a few different tools just to see the difference. Uh, yeah. So in any case, so what you wanna do with once you have your design and ready, then what you can do is you select what you wanna change, actually. Sorry before that. So once you have your design ready, wanna make sure under our settings here that our outputs to an area where you can easily find it so you can simply just under the sea output tab and then I'm just gonna leave mine there. It's just demo. Then you wanna make sure your dimensions are right according to your project or your material you're using, and then or I think this might be even according to your machine. And then, uh, we're also gonna set our X and Y zero point. I'm gonna set mind Bottom left. There's been a sea everyday. Now we've got our zero point origin. It's all very depending on your machine and you're set up. Then next up, what we want to do, I'm going to minus that out. So it's not so distracting and we're gonna go to two parts then you wanna for your contour milling set up your project. I'm just gonna grab these two to make a bigger just nicely. See, outside one, we'll make a bit smaller, so I'm gonna call that this one outside contour just so that afterwards makes a bit more sense. Then a small diameter. I'm gonna leave it on one millimetre. Going to keep it on centre can obviously go to the inside or so forth, and then I'm gonna leave it on client both directions, show them and put this on. So he's kind of get an idea of the size of it. Then, uh, this one. I'm not gonna add any leads, so I'm gonna leave the leads in that zero in a sequence. I'm also I'm gonna leave a automatic. The programme is quite good at it. Allowance. I don't have to worry about because I'm not selling leads. Then the height on that. So I'm thinking with this one, I'm gonna keep it at maybe a minus two and then the middle one, I'll go a bit deeper. He's gonna leave all of this at default because the square actually even take this all the way down to the minimum, which is 0.1, uh, safety hiding all that. I'm going to keep the same like, okay. And it has made our outside quantum, and I'm going to select the inside one to the same process. But this time I will choose a bigger one. Let's go for just to be different Centre show just so I can see where it's gonna go with this one. I'm gonna set it a bit deeper. It's very much it's for you could do it the other way around, but yeah, it's just a demo in the same way I'm gonna sit this one down because I'm not using thing with many points that needs smoothing. Say Okay, there we go. We've got two points, and I once this is set up, we want to go here to the bottom. I'm going to minus two parts again, and they want to look here at the NC programme. I'm gonna click to generate G code, which is G one g to the ones on the rights of automatic. Then you won't set up two parts. There we go. Now you can see we've got our ready. We can previous mess. Everything's fine. Yeah, and then next. What you wanna do is obviously you can go here on show G code. So if you want to make sure everything is in order or what you do is you just go click on the Save One safety code as and then he was gonna call it cm for contour milling save. And then the rest of it you do on your machine. Make sure that file gets uploaded to your machine, and then you can do your contour cutting from there. Otherwise, that is it. On the basic process you'll be taking. It's rather simple. And, yeah, we'll look at a few other ones in future videos. Otherwise, in the meanwhile, if we get to softwaretraining.co.za. You guys will notice we've got a variety of different Softwares. You recover, and you can also isolate your search on the top of right. If you do not, however, find the training videos just simply go yeah, requested training, video filling in uniform. And then we'll do our best to try and make that for you. But otherwise thanks guys, for watching and cheers.
