Removing or Separating Contour Cuts within the SAi FlexiPRINT RTUV 22 Software (Part 3)

flexiprint separate contour cuts

With the next two Contour Cut features on our list we will be looking at some more control vs cleaning up.

I always like a workflow that is nondestructive, one where you are able to go to the original state without much work.

Alright, you guys, in today's video, we're gonna be looking at how to remove or separate Contour cuts. But before that, let's have a quick intro first. So today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za. co dot Z A. We make short and easy to watch problem solving videos and we have also daily updates. But otherwise in the meanwhile, if we head gear to the programme so now, like I mentioned in this video, we're gonna be looking at removing or um separating contour cuts. So let's just create some shape here. Let's say you have a unique shape and you wanna make a, um, contour of that. So I'm gonna join these. We can go control M or just compound this. OK? No, wrong one. Let's group it. Rather we go combine group. We go. We've got a shape. We can move it around. Now let's say you wanna create a contour of this like we did before. So I'm gonna go on top on our main menu and then we're gonna go to a fix. Then we go contour Cut. Now I'm gonna leave mine on the default settings and just confirm this to make sure we've got a contour. So now if I had to select this, you'll see it highlights our shapes and our contour. But let's say, uh, we'll start with the first one. Or let's start with separate. Rather, let's say you wanna separate this contour and maybe reuse it over, or something like that in that line. Or maybe you just wanna find it justice. Let's say you wanna move this whole contour slightly lower and have more white space at the bottom or the top. Then we can also do that. So in order to do that, we can either right click or we can go to a fix. And then, um, you will see right at the bottom. Here we have the two options. So the first one is the clear contour cut. Then we've got separate contour cut. So now if I had to select that one, select off the shape and select back. You'll see now, Sonia, our shape and our contour is two different objects. So now with our contour, um, select it. I can now simply move this to where I want it. Like I said, if you want to fine tune this, that is a great way to do it Now. I'm just gonna undo that now, obviously. Wait. Let's just create another one quicker. So effect from a menu. Contour, cut. Say OK, there we go. So now let's say you have your shapes and so forth. But you wanna remove your contour cuts for whatever reason, it doesn't necessarily have to be. All of them want to be one, and then you can also go select what you want. Go to effects on our main menu and then we wanna go to clear contour. Cut. Now, if we had to select that, it will remove our contour and the shape will be back to its original form. But yeah, otherwise, that is either on contour cuts. Or at least, uh um, how to separate and remove. So just a quick recap. If you have a contour active, then you can either do it by right clicking that shape. Make sure it is selected, though, and then you have the options here at the bottom contour cut or a clear contour cut or separate contour cut, or you can go to your main menu effects. Then at the bottom There you will see the both those same options, but yeah, otherwise, that is it on the separate and remove contour cuts in the Meanwhile, though, if we head here to softwaretraining.co.za. co dot Z a you guys will notice we've got a variety of different Softwares we do cover. And you can also isolate your search on the top, right? If you do not, however, find the training videos you're looking for, you just simply go here, request the training video, fill in the mini form, and then we'll do our best to try and make that for you. But otherwise thanks, guys, for watching and just
