TruCUT RDWorks Making a Triangle Object (Part 3) Design Type Workflows Mini-Series

rdworks triangle object

When you are making a Triangular shape, you will notice it getting trickier when making it Symmetrical.

There are other ways we could go about making Triangles, like sketching from a reference, but it is always good to be able to know how to make it from scratch.

This video is part of a Mini-Series.
Next video covers Design – 4 Point Star.
Previous video covered Design to Page Location.

Hey, guys. In today's video, we're gonna be looking at how to create a triangle shape using the apology tour, and this will also before that already works. But before that, let's have a quick intro offers. Yeah, uh, so today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za. We make sure it's easy to watch problem solving videos, and we also have daily updates. Otherwise, back in the programme here now, just a quick reminder. This is a miniseries on the design or on design. It will be covering a few different methods to making shapes from aligning them and so forth. I will also leave relevant links and description so you guys can actually follow along now when it comes to a triangle. Now, yeah, it's really multiple waiting. Go about it. But the way I found most simple, I will show you now. So, first of all, what we're where you want to do for this? We want to go to our apologies tool. She located here by our paths. It's the second one. And then what I like to do is I like to zoom in on a square area with my grid, so I'll zoom in a year where I can see awful point. And as you can see, it's two by two. So now this, unfortunately, is not 100% accurate. As, um, most of these things you have to do freehand lining. So there's no real snapping, so you can't really snap to the grid and so forth. Now you could perhaps also import a shape and try a trace of it. That's also another way you can go about it. But this way, I found rather simple. So first of all, what we do is we try a line our first corner with tool selected. So you want to go on this corner as much so as close as possible? You can do many more if you want, but for the sake of this storey, I'm not gonna So then you wanna click there once with your left mouse button, and then you can either click here or click on top. And, um, for your second point, which is the middle. This is quite important that this is more aligned like this, then, like this because we're gonna just this not afterwards. So you try to just sing the point as close as possible. Click that little bit off. But then when it selected third point and now the important point here is the vertical. You want to make sure it's exactly online horizontal, but in the vertical access and then be closer path here. Now you can go afterwards with your note Edit tool one of the year if you need to make any changes, let's say one of these points are not aligned nice enough for you. You know, we selected and remove it now where, in essence, have a triangle here. But you guys will notice where to take our measuring tool. Let's measure the bottom here. Just a rough. And then, uh, we can see this is 99. So despite 100 now, if we had to measure another surface of this, you will notice that it is about 100 thing. So we're about 10 centimetres out now what? I found a quick formula to quickly change this or correct this. It's like I said, not 100% accurate, but at the end, it looks good enough, at least for me. So what you want to do is you select your shape and then under your within size. What I like to do is I'll set my height 200 and then I said, My with 2 30. Mhm and make sure your lock is off. Otherwise it will just keep the same dimensions. And now you can scale to any size you want. So let's scale it back to about he's four triangle size now. Obviously, the top is not going to be, um, as high as the previous one because we have changed our actual height. Now, if we had to go here and measure this, you should notice that looking at the this is about 100 see there and then next measurement be roughly in the same vicinity. So around 100 I found this is quite a simple way of creating triangles, especially if you want a triangle with that. All the edges the same, uh, length. Otherwise, we're headed here to softwaretraining.co.za. Got you guys will know to a variety of different software should cover, and also you can isolate your search on the top of right. If you do not, however, find what you're looking forward, just go here, request a training video. Then we will make that video for you. But otherwise thanks guys for watching and shares
