flexistarter tools tab preferences

Choosing how the tools should react by default is a great way to customize and setup a unique work environment.

This video is part of a mini-series.
In the previous video we had a look at Fonts Tab in FlexiSTARTER.

Hi there, guys. In today's video flexi Starter, we're gonna be looking at the tools tab under the programme preferences. But before that, like usual, let's have a quick intro first. Mm. Uh, so today's video can be fine on softwaretraining.co.za but that's okay. We do have a variety of different Softwares we cover. And also we upload training Videos Day, so just keep it there for the new content. Otherwise, we're back on the programme. Yeah, just a reminder for those that I knew that this is many serious on the programmes preferences. We have already covered a few of its settings and tabs. So today we're gonna be looking at the last one, which is tools Tab. I will also leave relevant links in the description. So you are actually am able to follow along. Otherwise, if we go on top year to edit, if you want to locate the preferences, we're gonna go to edit and then right to the bottom by preferences like I mentioned, we've already covered the first three tabs. Now let's go to tools. Now what basically happens here? As you can see on the left, we've got a few different tools we can select and this will be setting their default behaviour for the programme. So, as you can see, we've got cloud here. We've got cuts on plot. What's gonna happen? So I connect to the local production manager or using TCP I p. So by default, that's what's gonna do. And we have a flex tutorials when you start up the programme show tutorial and start ups and eventually, when you're comfortable, you can just switch it off to save you. Time we've got basically paste where you want to import tramp based things where they're gonna start off their location, you can. Then also we have select two. This will be, um, for the drag select. So just keep that in mind. So when you're dragging a shape and you want to select it is just by touching the shape or do you have to fully enclose the shapes? In other words, you have to drag a selection right over the shape Or can I just touch same with select within its the same options. But obviously that's within a group or so forth. We've got show foul. This is for wireframe. Options were a few days the grid. We can change it to the grid dots by default, which is something quite handy, but some basic text options as well. And then we have the zoo resume previous tool after zooming one. So I keep it off by default. By default it is on, but I switch my off. So what that does is if you have a zoom tool and zoomed in and by default, it's gonna switch back to your Arab or your selection box. And I find that sometimes they're rather frustrating. So I like to manually switch back when I'm ready. Now if you said any of these things, you do not like the settings you've said it to. Or your programme is not working in a way that you don't like. You can always go here to store defaults and then I will sit and went back to the But I would recommend play around, see what works for you. Obviously, the more you use the programme, the more these settings will make sense and you'll understand. Then what will work better for your workflow? But otherwise that is it on the tools, preferences or the preferences for the tools tab and then we had year to softwaretraining.co.za. Uh, like I mentioned the intro video. We have a variety of different Softwares. Big cover. We also have a nice little search options. So if you wanna isolate your search, you can just if I put in there and the magnifying glass. And if you don't find your video looking for you can always go here, requested training video. Then we will make that for you. But otherwise thanks, guys, for watching and cheers.
