Locking guides is a great way not to by mistake move their position when working on strict design requirements.

Selecting all the guides in one go is great when you’ve decided to move the position of the main design, but would like to keep the location of the guides relevant to the new move.

How are you guys in today's video? Flexi starter. We're gonna be looking at selecting all the guides at once and also how to lock the guides. But before that, let's start with the intro first. Mm. So today's video can be found A softwaretraining.co.za. You'll see that you guys will notice. We do have a variety of different Softwares we cover, and also we upload training videos daily so you can just keep an eye there for the new content. Otherwise, if we had back in the programme, Yeah, now we've covered the basics of the guides before, So today we're gonna be looking at How can you select all of them? You also have to lock, obviously, to select a single one. Make sure your selection tools selected, and then you can just click on that guy. Now we can move it around. But let's say we don't want this these guys to be able to be moved. And what we can also do is go to our main menu on top. Go to a range, you navigate till you find guides. And then we say lock guides. Now, I cannot select any of these guides. You know I try to so once again to disable that same thing as your main menu. Then we click on a range we never get to guides. And then we say, Look, guides. Now, if we want to select all our guides, a simple way to do this as we go to once again, our main menu go to edit when we navigate to select and then from the select menu I wanna go to select by attributes. Shortcut for that is D we click this, you'll see it brings up a little box with a few different options that we can select. So in our case will go to the guideline click on the lower right mark in front of it, and then we took Okay. Now, as you can see all of these guys as guidelines are highlighted. So if I and click and move it, you can see we're moving all of the guidelines that once I'll keep in mind if you're a tribute. Okay, sure, I said, rather say, if your guides are locked, then obviously that will not work. So you know, once again, if you go to select, go to select the attribute, you'll see, we actually can't even see the guides here because they are lock otherwise, Yeah. Just remember, if you did work with lock guides and you cannot edit them to unlock them, I wish you would get quite confused. Or you could otherwise, if we had year to vinyl.
