SAi FlexiSTARTER 19 Rectangle Edits Control Points (Part 8) Working with Shapes Mini-Series

flexistarter rectangle points edit

Here’s a quick way of doing some extra editing within FlexiSTARTER 19 for rectangles using the Control Points.

Similar to the extra setting for rectangles that are found in the Design Central panel, you can do some of those edits with Control Point editing but with a few limitations.

This video is part of a Mini-Series.
Next video covers Converting Objects to Shapes.

Hey, guys. In today's video flexi starter, we're gonna be looking at editing rectangles using the control points. But before that, let's have a quick intro first. Mm mm. So today's video. Can we find a softwaretraining.co.za ? Got See, uh, we make sure it's easy to watch problem solving videos, and we are below daily always back in the programme here. Now, just a quick reminder. There's a miniseries. I'm working with shapes and I will also leave relevant links and description. So you guys gonna follow along now? What we're covering in this video is not so much how to use all the editing points as it is when you create a new shape, you get these editing points, which you'll see is different. And it's the same as what we covered in previous few videos with them on the design central panel. But a lot of this stuff, maybe not all of them you can actually edit when it comes to on the actual object. So now in order to do that, we've got, uh, we can basically yeah, uh, just most of it, except for this in a border. So with that, you like to do and design central panel. So now, but something to keep in mind. Like I mentioned, if we create a new shape, you'll see we've got these nice control points and let's change the colour again. But if we had to select off and then selected again, you'll see we no longer have those same points. So just in order to locate them, you can actually go to your design central. Then you'll see it moves to their or what you can do is you double click your shape. So if we double click it now, we've got rotating points. The origin double click again. Now we've got the same point is when you just created it. Now, uh, these two points that we see here, the one will set a horizontal with because if you keep something like shifting, it will constrain the angles, and then the other one will set the height. Sorry to me. Grab a point and not the shape, and then all these little corner points Then you can use for adjusting the radius and around You will obviously have to still go to your design central if you're gonna change the type. So it's something like an inverted. They can use those same points, you know. Yeah. So that is, uh, can quickly if you know, you're gonna be working with a lot of round things. You can always just adjusted writing here without having to do any design central panel. But then, yeah, that is it on editing rectangles. Using control points like I've mentioned, is only for the actual point you get when you create a new shape rather than all the points. And, uh, yeah, Otherwise, if when it comes to the circle, we will not be making a video for that as it will be working pretty much very similar. Just with the way less options. As you can see here, we've got we can actually turn into an oval horizontal vertical oval. And then, um, yeah, we're just select off selected again. You'll see if we scale it under the normal settings. That pretty much does the same thing. And that is why I also when it came to the design central Panama, we didn't cover circle over as it is a rather simple tool to figure out otherwise. We head here to softwaretraining.co.za. Got Seattle today. You guys are going to get a variety of different Softwares we do cover. And also you can isolate your search on the top, right? If you do not however, find the video you're looking for, you can request a training video. Then we will make that video for you. But otherwise thanks, guys, for watching and cheers.
