FabriCAM Software Rotate Function for 3D Navigation (Part 4) Step by Step Video Tutorial

When it comes to Rotating three dimensional space it is by far the hardest tool to master.

That being said, in this video we will be looking at how to simplify the task of rotating 3d space.

other guys. In today's video, we're gonna be looking at your three D navigation and the rotate function. But before that, let's have a quick intro first. So today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za. We make sure that easier to watch problem solving videos, and we also have daily updates. Otherwise, back to the tutorial. Yeah, so now we've already covered whom magnifying glass pan and now, by far the most difficult feature of them all. And that is a rotate. This one is definitely gonna take the most time getting used to. And you're gonna have to put in the most practise because, yeah, this this is where you really if you're not using a three d space, get lost. So now this is obviously for rotating your your actual sheet. Now there's different forms of rotation that we can do and yeah, we'll be looking at them like, But like I mentioned, this is the quickest way to get lost. So once again, if we click this now, we'll start with the up and down rotation. Now, a little tip I would recommend start when you want to do basic rotation start in the middle of the canvas because if you're going off centre, um, you will feel if you try, it gets lopsided very quickly and you can't get it easily back. So it is quite a trick. You will definitely have to practise this a bit to get used to it. So then, like I mentioned you, select your rotate function. You go to the middle of your canvas about now. If you click with your left mouse button, you drag up, you will see it rotator, too, one way, and then if you pull down, rotate it another way. Now, Like I said, this can be a bit buggy. But even though it's not actually buggy, it's just it takes some getting used to. So that is the one form of rotation. So you go in the middle of the canvas about and you go up and down with your left mouse button in. Now the next one is obviously left and right, so once again, we choose our rotation, go in the middle, and then we go left and right. So this is another, uh, way of rotation. So especially on your horizontal plane and then the other ones we can do is the 45. So you once again click in the middle and you drag towards the top right corner top left corner. It's same with I mean, bottom left corner. And then we're gonna top left bottom, right? So that is basically your your main rotation angles. If you come in like a static type plane. Now there's another rotation that we have to cover, which this makes a world of difference, and that is rotating this canvas clockwise or counterclockwise. So to do that, we select our rotation, and then for this one helps us go to your corners. Now, there is something that happens sometimes, But I'll show you if we if it happens, how do you get out of it? So now what you wanna do is you click close your corners and you simply drag left. I mean, up or down, and you pretty much rotating around it. Now, sometimes if you're this will happen, so you wanna rotate it, but it just starts rotating in these weird angles. Then what you want to do is you wanna try and navigate to a corner that you can see so then try and find a corner that works. Then you go there. So if there's like you saw it doesn't work. Just try another corner somewhere, and then you can have a nice rotation. Now, just a quick recap again. So this is the rotation tool is the most challenging one, so they spend the most time with it. Then you can rotate, uh, left and right up and down and clockwise and counterclockwise. Now, just as a little challenge, because I would recommend you spend the most time practising this. Get used to it, I would say. See if you can take the, um, your your sheet and rotate it right around. It's gonna take a few clicks on the up and down and try right around left and right. You can do it both ways. I'm not gonna use your panic and then also try to see if you're gonna take your actual, um, a sheet clockwise and counterclockwise, and I would recommend do this a few times so you can kind of get used to the navigation, how it works and then tell you feel comfortable with that, but definitely has a challenge. I would say. Try it out. It is a good, good challenge and very necessary. But yeah, otherwise, that is it on the rotation tool.
