fabricam practical nesting arrangement
Now in a previous video we have had a quick look at doing some Auto Nesting with Manual Placement.
In this video however we will be looking at Auto Nesting with Manual Rearrangements.
This video is part of a Mini-Series.

How are you guys in today's video? We're going to be looking at doing some manual placing or manual placements after nesting your files, and this will also be a practical video for the nesting feature. But before that, let's have a quick intro first. So today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za z day and we make sure an easy to watch problem solving videos, and we also have daily updates. Otherwise we'll go back in the programme here. So now I mentioned in the intro we're gonna be looking at nesting your files and then maybe doing some manual placement to better sort your files. Now, this can vary depending on obviously what you're trying to achieve. In our case, I'm gonna be trying to set our can say are off cut to a larger space or larger rectangle type space that's close to a square so that maybe we can fit a different design into that off guard. So what I'm gonna do is I'm just started making a new sheet. I'm just gonna set this one to, uh, go about 6 50 by 3. 50 and then set the beam diameter to one say okay. And then we're gonna go to your flat parts, gonna add a rectangle. And then what I wanna do is I'm gonna set the A over a year to 200 and then I'm gonna set the B 2 100. I'll say, okay, And we're gonna add five of these. So we've got our shape. Then I'm gonna add another shape. Also a rectangle. With this time I'm gonna flip the dimension. So now it's gonna be 100 by 200 this one I'll only add two of them. You will see shortly why I've done that. Now, if I go here to nesting, I'm gonna leave all settings by default, which is rotation off speed by one under configuration. We are on vertical to, to to, to and to. So then we click. Start here, and you can see we've got our, um, nesting happening, I'm gonna say, except so we can just have it on our actual cutting plane. Now, let's say we've got a design which may be a little bit more of a square. That's a rectangle, then this space might not work for us or this free space So now instead of using all another material for it or sheet, I'm just gonna go grab this one by left, clicking on it and then move this on top to the right, and then I will left click both of these. So they're both selected. Move them two on top of this one, and then I can lift, like this one. Either move to the bottom or the top, but I would recommend in this case will be the bottom so that we've got this extra space as well. Keep in mind if if it happens what you saw there, where it flips back to its original position. That means you've gone too close to the edge and doesn't confirm the move. So that back to the bottom here and now you can see we've got a nice more rectangle. I mean, a square type, uh, position here, but yeah, otherwise, that is it on the actual practical. So, like I said, this is great. For if you're trying to save some off cuts space, then you can just reposition after you've nested your files. But otherwise, if we had here to softwaretraining.co.za z you guys will notice. We've got a variety of different Softwares we do cover. And you can also isolate your search on the top. Right? If you do not, however, find the training videos you're looking forward. Just simply go here, requested training video, fill in the mini form and then we'll do our best to try and make that for you. But otherwise thanks, guys, for watching and cheers.
