VinylCut 5 Software How to Create a Lattice Hart Effect on a Card, Step by Step Video

vinylcut lattice hart effect

Adding the Lattice effect to cards is a great way to spice up your designs within the VinylCut 5 software.

The Lattice effect can be applied to many applications like window vinyl’s, wood cut-outs and so forth, but what we will be covering today is most probably the most common in card designs.

Okay. How do you guys in today's video final cut, We're gonna be looking at adding a cool card cutout effect with the latest effect. But before that, let's have a quick intro first. Yeah, so today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za. You guys will notice we have a variety of different Softwares to recover, and also we upload training daily so you can just keep my there for the content. The ways we head back in the programme here. Now. Yeah, we've covered the letters of 34 today. I'm gonna just show you a quick, um example like, let's say we want to make a nice hot cutout effect into this card. So let's say this is, uh, folding card, and then you go on to kind of see through the first cover into the back, so maybe you'll have a photo in the back or something like that. But instead of just keeping an abnormal heart shape which could look nice, we're gonna be looking at adding a lattice to it. And then because we're gonna be working with, um, merge effect. Well, actually be inverting the ladders. And that's actually why I wanna cover it. So the way you would think the ladders would look, you actually have to do the opposite inverted. But first of all, that's adding letters to make sure your shape is selected. You can just left click on the right shape. My case will be the heart. I've just kind of loaded something pretty made hard from the library dragon and scaled it. Then what we wanna do is gonna go on top. And I made me to affect, and you navigate down until we find the lettuce and then under the letters, we've got a few options here. And keep in mind you will have to every time you're gonna see an update on your actual math preview because it does not have an order update. So let's just see previous years we can see what we're working with at the moment. That was the first of all. I wanna maybe increase some of the sizes, so I'm gonna increase the within the gaps, find something I like. It could be nice. And then so maybe consider also, Let me see if I bring that, Yeah, angle down. I kind of wanted to see the edges of the heart. So this is just about right. I might have to adjust. And this one point, but he as well, just to see what's the difference. Uh, so that this could pull off, obviously, in a actual card for clients. You know, you play around more with it, so you get something you like. Some of the rotate can also look good. It's just, uh, see what that looks like. This exactly 45 degrees. Yeah, something like this could also work. But I'm just gonna keep this from zero for now. Now, on the preview at the moment, you know, you wouldn't really want to keep it like this, But what's gonna happen? It's actually gonna cut out all the grid, which we actually only want to cut out the little blocks. So that is why I mentioned we're gonna have to, um, make sure that the inverse is checked. Now, for a preview, you will see only the red blocks are highlighted, like normally, I would try to change that to fix that. So and it hits right on the rim. Uh, I think that's actually perhaps scaled down the stuff a bit, so that that's not gonna bug me a bit that we can see more of the heart shape otherwise So we're gonna lose the heart shape of it. Uh, and then But like I said in the final one, just play around with it more. But this is actually just a big gamble. So then what? You're happy with that? You will be clicking, OK, now, obviously it is converted to shape into a lettuce. Then what you wanna do is with that shape selected, he keeps shifting and you select your back on as well. And then we want to go on top of the main menu to object, and we navigate down until we find Merge. Shortcut for that control shift beach. Now, if we select this with both of them selected, we'll see it actually makes a cut out in a card. So now when it finally cuts this final thing, you just have to pop out all those little, um, squeeze and triangles. And as we move over things you can see you can actually see what's behind it. Now, uh, you know, with this type of effect, you might want to rather get away with something like ball shapes to make it look like a prison. But if you do this right can actually still look quite a soft. And, uh, I guess in a heart shape, obviously you're playing your colour because it is not. No, it could go for Valentine's, I guess, actually. So it was actually quite a nice colour, but to me it was a bit Jewish, shocking at them out. But otherwise that is said on the basically creating a lattice effect on a card. But like I said, the main emphasis, the inversion or the inverse so that you're actually going to be cutting out your block. So if we go here to the cut preview, you can see what it's going to be cutting. Otherwise, if we had here to final cut it together today, Um, like I mentioned that programme is freely available. You said to download speech. Otherwise, in the softwaretraining.co.za hey'll see that today we do have a variety of different sources We cover, like I mentioned the intro video and also can isolate your search on the top. Right, Philip, If anything specific, type it in hit the little magnifying glass, but But if you run dry and then find you're looking for. You always got requested training video, and if we have not made it yet, we will make that for you. But otherwise thanks, guys, for watching and cheers.
