VinylCut 5 the Exclude Feature Making Cut-Outs on Your Designs, Step by Step Video Guide

When one wants to make a cut-out of pre existing shapes or make a cool bookmark or custom card cut-outs, then make sure you do check out the Exclude Path Feature in VinylCut 5.

This tool is also great for cutting shapes like circles and so forth in half, or cutting out the inside of a shape to create a border frame.

Hi guys. In today's video, the final card we'll be looking at the paths exclude feature. Let's just have a quick video here or intro video so today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za. We have a variety of different Softwares. We do cover and we upload training videos daily there for any new content. If we had back in the programme yet So now Yeah, the path exclude buttons. The three things to know about it is that it only works on two shapes. If you have one shape, it won't work and you have more than two. It also won't work now. This is great if you want to make cutouts in other shapes. So let's say you've got a bookmark and you wanna put custom cut out or something like that. In our case will just be using this little heart, make a cut out in the star and also keep in mind. It will cut out the shape. It's on top of the other shapes. So if this heart was under it, it would try to cut the star out onto the heart. So now, once we have that set up. We can just select both this election box and to locate it will be going on top of two path exclude or you can right click your selected items in the same way, go to path and then exclude. Now, once you've selected that, you can see it is cut the heart out and this is not the only one layer. So yeah, that's the basics on the path. Exclude.
