VinylCut 5 Add Decoration to Your Border Frame (Part 2) Making Border Frames Mini-Series

vinylcut border frame decoration

A big part of what makes a custom shaped border frame unique and standing out, is the cool self-made décor.

There are so many ways to go about making decorations for frames, but sometimes keeping it simple still gives the best results.

This video is part of a Mini-Series.
Next video covers putting Part 1 and Part 2 Together.
Previous video covered making a Unique Shape.

Hi guys. In today's video, I'll cut. We're gonna have a continuation on creating unique border frames and adding decoration to it. But before that, let's have a quick intro first. So today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za hat you guys will notice. We do have a variety of different Softwares will cover, and also we upload training videos daily so you can just keep a high level on a new contract. That was way back in the programme. Yeah. Now I'm just a reminder this is a miniseries on the actual I'm creating unique border frames and I will leave relevant links and descriptions You can follow along in the previous, uh, um, tutorial we did out to create this unique base shape. And today we're gonna be looking like I mentioned earlier, adding some unique decoration now, ideally, for this, I would recommend make some unique graphics, but to keep this video short, I'm rather gonna just pre load something from my library. So in order to do that or what I did there with that shapes are really located. I went to my library with this little book. Start it and then I went to swirls, and I located this graphics year. Now you can try some of these great ethics will create some unique shapes, but yeah, And then I've imported and just scaled it to a size where I kind of like the overall look of it. Next up, What you want to do is you want to select your shape, you can click on it and you keep shifting and click on your, um, your base shape. Just make sure that on the layers panel graphics is higher than your best shape. Then next time we want to go to effects on the top main menu and then from the drop down menu wanna navigate, we find an object on pot under object of path. The first thing I want to do is actually switch on order preview here just so that we can see live what's happening for the updates at the moment. As you can see, this is gonna be a very odd border if I just duplicate the amounts. So what we already have enabled here is follow part orientation. So that means if I take it off, it will stay the original way. I left it and we have to remove the original objects. After we've done applying it, it's going to remove the original object and leave us with the border. Then the next thing I want to do is put on walk to path. So now what's gonna happen is that this is gonna warp it around the shape we have already, as you can see there. And then, um, if you you want to make it part of your final shape at the end, you can always just keep wild on. But I'm gonna get mine. Of course, there's two variations of what you can do, which I will show you guys. So then you can also remove path if you only want it to be a rape. In my case, I like the body as well. So next up, what I wanna do is sit there. Repeat councils will be How many do we have? So I'm just gonna increase that basically, until I get a nicer okay, But there you can see overlapping. So I'm gonna leave it at six. And then what I'm gonna do is rather go to my spacing and increase this until I find something that's kind of symmetrical. you can see that looks pretty nice, then. Next up, what we can do is, uh we always say, Okay, now, in the layers panel here, we can see we have this frame as a group. And then inside the group, we put all the individual shapes were wrapped around it, which is pretty nice. And then, uh, I'll tell you, uh, next up, we can be looking at There's two different ways we can go about it. So one way you can do it is we kind of merges into it, and then we're actually three ways. So when you leave a frame, the next one will mergers or become part of the shape. What you can do is also make cut out in the shape so they will have the original base with a unique shape of itself. But for that I'll be heading to another video, and then we're just looking to be looking at those three methods. But otherwise, if we head here to final cut on the programme is freely available here to say to your downloads page otherwise on the softwaretraining.co.za hose heels Like I mentioned in the intro video, we have a variety of different Softwares we do cover. And if you don't want to manually navigate through the list to look what you try to find what you're looking for, you can always go on top of it to the search option. Click in type of what you're looking forward to see a little magnifying glass, and it will isolate the search for you and then. But if you stop them dry even after that, you can just go. You requested training video filling in a little mini form, and then we will make that video for you. But otherwise, guys, until the next one chills.
