are you guys in today's video? Flexi starter. We're gonna be looking at setting your tracking and block size using the text control points. But before that, let's have a quick intro first. Mhm. Mm. So today's video can we find a softwaretraining.co.za d day? We make sure that easy to watch problem solving videos, and we also have daily updates. Otherwise, back in the programme here now, just a quick reminder. There's a miniseries on working with text at the moment we were working with control points. So now in today's video, we're gonna be looking at like I mentioned in the intro the tracking and block size. Now let's simply just head into it with our selection tool. Select the text and then we designed central or two paragraphs character and the paragraph. Any one of these two and then as we can see on the control points, we've got these little arrows. Now that will set your tracking. So it's basically the spacing between all the letters, so you can simply just click this and drag it and you will see adjusted to the right amount. Now that is something that is quite handy. But then when we get to the block text So if we've created text with creating a block, I'm imagine you guys would know. But I know how to do that. Then you'll see we've got the two different ones so we can set the tracking, which will actually set your block size as well. What we can do is just set the block size and you'll see the text actually stays the same. So that is the main difference between those two. So the one you can see your block size and obviously, once a text gets to the edge here, it will pop it to the next line. So, as you can see there. So this one is where you want to keep her mother narrow. What you can do is you can always just increase your block, or you're tracking as well to get a more comfortable spacing for your text. So these tools are rather I'm convenient and quick editing, and and the nice thing is, you can kind of do it on the fly and see a live update as you're busy, which makes great just a small note on something I left out in the previous video on move and rotate. So when we get to rotating letters, so like I mentioned before, if you keep shifting, it will lock it. And I mentioned that control doesn't do much now. If you're from this base point, then yes, it will look like control doesn't do much. But let's say we've rotated it and you don't like that rotation point, you wanna reset it, Then you can keep controlling and rotate it, and it will reset the rotation. So that is something to keep in mind. But keep in mind that does not help or does not reset the location. So if we are to move this little letter, then rotated Now, if we want to reset the rotation of this, you keep controlling, you will see it will just set the location. But I mean the rotation, but not the actual education. So that is just a side something I've got to mention in the previous one. But otherwise yeah, that is it. Um, I think that about wraps up our control points for tracking and block size. So, like I mentioned this miniseries on working with Texas getting quite long. So I definitely think we're gonna do a mini, serious, serious part two, which, depending on what's next. I might have started from the next video, but otherwise thanks, guys, for watching. And, uh, thank you also for joining me on this little miniseries. Otherwise, if we had yet to softwaretraining.co.za hat's, uh, guys on that you've got a variety of different Softwares we do cover. And you can also isolate your search on the top of right. If you do not, however, find what you're looking for, you can always go here, request the training video, and then we will make that video for you. But yeah, otherwise, thanks and choose.
