An In-depth Look at the Use Alpha Channel Option in SAi FlexiPRINT RTUV 22 Software (Part 5)
flexiprint alpha channel option
Once we have added the PNG file for printing, there is another important option to cover in regards to alphas and the white channel.
Now in most cases you could very easily get by without having to enable this option, but when we are working with designs that has white in it we would want to enable this.

Alrighty, guys. In today's video, we're gonna be looking at the setting. Use Alpha Channel with flexi print, and this will be very handy when it comes to our White Channel. But before that, let's have a quick intro first, so today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za. co dot Z A. We make short and easy to watch problem solving videos, and we also have daily updates. Otherwise, we're back into the programme here. So now, in the previous one, we looked at setting up the actual project, how to import it, set it up and so forth and a basic overview of our channels. But as you guys, or at least some of you might have noticed when we previewed only the White Channel, you notice that this grey indicates what's gonna be printed white. But there's nothing but the teeth, the eyes where it should be white, which means if you're printing this, let's say, on a black T shirt or a red T shirt, then the teeth will become the background's colour, which means you're gonna have black eyes or red teeth and eyes, which is not gonna look very good now if you're using a PNG that's got a see through background and not white. That's when we'll be using the setting. It's very handy, but what you wanna do is we wanna go here to our transparency tab and then the setting I mentioned before when we did the default settings right at the bottom. That is where this comes in handy. So use Alpha Channel data for white, which means anything that's transparent. It's gonna see as the White Channel and White. It's gonna leave as printed. Oh, it's a It's a bit confusing, but yeah, What it comes down to is, um, anything transparent, it's gonna stay transparent. Anything white, it's gonna stay white. That's why I left it off so we can see the difference, because you might run into this problem and not know how to fix it. And then we wanna switch that on. Now, if we go back to our channel preview, then just wait for us to load. You will notice. Now we have a nice, solid colour, which means the whites will be white when we finally printed. And the teeth now. Yeah, so that is handy. It's very straightforward, very simple, but what I want us to do now, just to be sure. Go to our printers. Right leg, go default job properties. And then we set it here as well. Otherwise, any new graphics is we're gonna have to set it for each one. But now I'm just quickly gonna do this so that anything new we set import it will automatically have this setting enabled. Now, also, keep in mind I don't know if you've noticed when we move to this file, the actual, um, project disappears. So what we can do is simply just quickly drag another one in there. So we have one in each printer. The basic setup. I'm just gonna fit this and then make sure that our setting is enabled. There we go. Yeah, well, that is it. On the Alpha to White or the Alpha Channel. Like I said, very handy. I would say. Definitely keep it on in your default. But it's good to know what happens when it's off in the meanwhile, though, before we move on, if we head here to softwaretraining.co.za. co dot Z a. You guys will notice we've got a variety of different Softwares we do cover, and you can also isolate your search here on top and right. If you do not, however, find the training videos you're looking for. Just simply go here, request the training video, fill in the mini form, and then we'll do our best to try and make that for you. But otherwise thanks, guys, for watching and cheers.
