The Shadow Layer and Contour Cut Effect is a great way to add a nice border or border effect to ones designs.

From rounded corners to sharp ones and also choosing the amount of borders to their sizes (Not to mention the other options), will give you such great control over the borders.

Hey, guys. In today's video final cut will be looking at shadow layers and a contour cut. Just a great intro here. Yeah, so today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za. God. See, uh, you guys will know that we've got quite a variety of different videos we do cover, and also we upload daily so occupy there for any new content. Otherwise, we're back in the programme. Yeah, Now, to locate the shadow layers will be under effects. And this is nice if you wanna create, like, a border around your graphics or something in that light. So in any case, so make sure your your shape or your text is selected, then we go to effects. Navigate down. We find Shadow Layer Contour cut from its options. That pops up. We have shadow type. So if we just quickly set the scale up, this will kind of be like the other borders are treated at the moment. You can see we've got the hard edge here. We got around, then you can see we've got around it. Then obviously, next up, we've got scale. So if you adjust this, then the actual border scale will be adjusted as mhm. Then we've got insert shadow. Select this, then it will take the outside board and put it to the inside of the shape like that. Then also, we've got black out. So any holes here? So let's say we, um you wanted to hear, but you don't want those little cut outs to also happened, and you can just say blackout shadow and it will remove those for you. Then, uh, just remove that again. And obviously we've got the colour of it so you can adjust. We wanted a different colour. It's not the most complimentary one there. When I was keeping like something darker college so we can see it. We have outline only. So we'll only cut the outline of it as you can see there. Then we've got print plus cut outlined, so it will optimise it for printing and cutting. And then we've got fabric outline. We also have your lay account so you can kind of make duplicates of this if you wanna have a kind of a faded effect or something, so let's up this mirror or then a layer size variants, so this will be the scale of each kind of other variants of scale. So let's just put back to one and then end colour. So this will make it fade from your colour to the new one, as you can see there and then, yeah, okay, it will apply your settings. And then, um, yeah, you'll see you've got your layers now with the new take it into its own group of layers. Otherwise, yeah, that is it.
