Soft Proofing you Designs Before Printing within SAi FlexiPRINT RTUV 22 Software (Part 12)

flexiprint soft proof designs

This is a great feature to see in a printing program, the ability to soft proof your design before printing.

That being said, it is a good idea to remember that this is just a Soft Proof and not a Hard Proof of the colors.

Hi there, guys. In today's video, we're gonna be looking at the soft proof feature that is found within flexi print. But before that, let's have a quick intro first. So today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za. co dot Z A. We make sure and easy to watch problem solving videos, and we also have daily updates. Otherwise, we add into the programme here now, Like I mentioned today's video, we're gonna be looking at soft, uh, soft proofing. My apologies. What this is gonna do is gonna kinda try emulate on a software level. Um, what your design is gonna look like when it's printed, So it's going to try to convert some R GB colours to CNYK. And, uh, like I mentioned, just keep in mind this is soft proof where, um, the hard proof will be more like for your finals. We doing test prints on that to make sure everything is correct, But this will give you a good indication of, uh, if it's going in the right direction or not. So what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna add, like, just three different colours here, So let's do the basic R GB. Let's base that by that. And then OK, what I'm gonna do is this was already red, and then I'm gonna make this, uh, green and let's make this one blue. Then what I'm gonna do is just make sure these ones are correct. So I'm gonna open our colour. Uh, mixer. I mean, not a colour specs or colour mixer. And then with the red selection selected, I can see the R over here on the left is all the way up. So then I'm gonna click on the next one. Our green is all the way up and then on the blue And then make sure our blues all the way up and the green is all the way down Sorry and reverse blues all the way up greens all the way down like that. And there we go. We've got our R GB colours. But 12 I can go to the, um, HSV to make sure I've got the value as well. Do all of these and just make sure the values are set the same. So I don't get a misrepresented value. OK, with all these said now, obviously, this will depend on your design. I'm just doing a basic R GB. But, uh, depending on your design, this might look slightly different. Then what you can do is you simply go on top here to the soft proof icon. I was gonna zoom for you guys. So it's the one next to the swatch colour. It's this one with a computer monitor and with a colour wheel inside that you can see if our ho it is soft proof. So if I click this, you'll see all our colours starts changing even the colours in these swatches and at the bottom on the actual colour swatches you can see they all change to try emulate more accurately what the colour is gonna look like when printed. Like I mentioned, just keep in mind this is just kind of trying to get you an estimate. It's not 100% accurate, so, uh, but this gives you a good indication. Just make sure when you're done, you switch it off again. Otherwise, you're gonna be very confused when you can't get the correct colours with R GB. But there we go. That's your soft proof for colours. Very handy if you're doing prints to kind of preview things beforehand before you, uh, send it off to the printer, but yeah, in the meanwhile, though, if we head here to softwaretraining.co.za. co dot Z a you guys will notice we've got a variety of different Softwares we do cover. And you can also isolate your search on the top, right? If you do not, however, find the training videos you're looking for, just simply go here on the left, request the training video, fill in the mini form, and then we'll do our best to try and make that for you. But otherwise thanks, guys, for watching and cheers.
