SAi FlexiSTARTER Stroke Style and Extra Options (Part 3) Fill and Stroke Editor Mini-Series

flexistarter stroke style options

The stroke styles are great if you want to make custom cut lines for the final design within FlexiSTARTER.

From the extra options, there is a great that one if you’re looking at transforming an object that has a stroke and would like to keep the stroke relevant in size to the object.

Hi, guys. Today's video flexi starter. We're gonna be looking at the stroke style and some of the extra settings we've not covered yet on the stroke tap. But before that, let's have a quick intro first. Mm. So today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za z. We make sure an easy to watch problem solving videos. And also we have daily updates otherwise, back in the programme. Yeah, Just a reminder. This is a miniseries on the full and struck editor. We've already covered the full tab, and today we're gonna be looking at the rest of the stroke tap. I'll also leave relevant links and description, as you guys can actually follow along. Now, I'm not gonna show you guys how to locate this, um, or open this thing again, saying that we've already done in the previous video. So, uh, previous few videos, two videos. I think so. What we're gonna do is we're gonna select the shape and carry on from where we were. Mm. So now the top little option here, under the, um, stroke tab, I'll be your stroke style. So if you click on the little arrow or actually just anywhere on it. You will see, we've got a few different presets. You can choose a Let's say you want to make cut out right around. So you want a machine to so you can tear it out afterwards. You can do something like that. And then, um yeah, As you can see, they've got a few different options now, what you could do, you can always go to edit if you wanted something unique. So let's say you wanted to make those little holes smaller for cut or so forth. Then there's a few options you can do. I'm just gonna quickly set this to default, so it's gonna make zero and zero just so you guys can see something. Now, if we click update, what we'll do is we'll update this little sample. It won't actually update what we see here on the back. In order to do that, we have clear. Okay. If I click update, you can see there. We've got a little substantial lines now. Something to keep in mind is that, as you can see here, we've only set the first two, but yet it is keeping it consistent. So if any of these values are zero after the first ones. That's going to just ignore it and repeat the pattern. So if we wanted to put a unique one in there, we can always go and make the next dash. So also something I should cover. Dash. It's a little line. Gap is obviously the gap between them at the moment of the dash, and the gaps are the same size. So let's add another dash and make this once or twice as big. And make this gap 2.5. Quick update. Now we're gonna see today we've got a line twice as long offers long and the gaps all stay consistent. But let's say we do something like and zero this make this 00.5 and then we'll make the next 11. Yeah, why update? Now you can see we've got two little lines and a a long line, so now you can either remove it all. What you can do is you can click at now once we've clicked, add like, let's say this is a line style you're using a lot in the current design and so forth. I was and he said, okay, and now from the actual template here. Mm. As you notice at the bottom, there we have it. So that way you can add custom lines. I mean, sure, it's the same as the one that was already there, but you can now make your own unique ones make the lines smaller or so forth. Just add it. So that is how the edit works under the lines styles. And then, um, yeah, I'm gonna say this back to the line. So once again, you've got templates and you've got to edit. Then the rest is here that we've got transform and clear. There's something to keep in mind with transform. If it's off, we scale this thing, you'll see the line size stays the same. But then let's say we put this on. Then what will happen? It will increase the line size with our design. I can see that. And the great you know, the reason why you would want to do this is let's say you've made an entire logo design. It's got strokes and everything. You want to scale it up or scale it down and you wanna make sure that is on. Otherwise, you're all entire design is gonna get scaled, but your strokes are gonna stay the same size, which is gonna look weird or might, um, possibly mess up your final design of the logo. And last of all, we've got clear. So with clear you can basically just reset The slight stroke will actually rather remove it. So as you can see there now, we have got no more line stroke. So it's a quick recap. So we've got the stroke style with this one is so you can set the metre size or metre amount threshold, but I can't get it to work Nice. So I didn't cover. It might be something that comes to the pro version. And then we've got the style, colour, but the corner corner type in stock type, you've got to transform and clear. Otherwise, if we had here to softwaretraining.co.za hat's the other day you guys will notice we've got a variety of different Softwares we do cover, and also you can isolate. Just search on the top of right. If you do not, I ever find what you're looking for. You can always get your request, a training video and then we will make that video for you. Otherwise, thanks, guys. Until the next video, Cheers
