SAi FlexiSTARTER 19 New Project File Creating and Setting Up, a Step by Step Video

flexistarter new project file

When it comes to making new Project Files in SAi FlexiSTARTER, there are few things as simple.

Even though FlexiSTARTER does not follow the conventual way of making a new project, it is still a rather simple and fast way to get started with a new project.

the Hi guys in today's video of Flexi Starter. We're gonna be looking at making a new project, but let's start with a quick intro first, so today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za. We do have a variety of different Softwares recover, and also we upload videos daily. So just keep an eye out for any new content that was weird. Back in the programme. Yeah, now, uh, to create a new project, there's about three maybe say four ways of doing it, but we'll be looking at the most simple ones first. So first of all, what you can do you can your standard to while on top here and the first icon there will be your to make a new, uh, project or new documents. So it's new, and the shortcut is for that is control pen. So this will be the first way that the shortcut can be the second way to control Pen. If for any reason you do not have a standard to a year, you always got to view, and then we go to to boss as controlled teeth. And if we select that under the pop up, you can just toggle the standard on. In my case, it's already on. Now it's 12, so you can just toggle that on there and then you see, done. So now, the second way to create a new project. Maybe if you go to file on top and then we got you knew it's also the same thing. Control him for the shortcut, then, uh, and then the last one, I would say the fourth way, as you can kind of Just if your programme you can close it, reopen it and we'll start a new project by itself. So that is, you know, so maybe not the most convenient way to do it. But there's another way. Now let's say you already been working on a project and you start up your flexi starter and it does not have this project. You can always go file and then under close to the bottom close. The exit will show you a few projects you've been working on. So then you can just click on that and ultimately open it for you. Now let's say we have created a new project. Unlike most other programmes, that gives you a prompt asking you what you want to set for your new project. Flexi started does not, but you'll have to do years. You go to the design central on the right here. Now, for any reason, you do not have your design central open. You can always navigate again to your standard toolbar and then go to this icon which is designed Central. You can just have your mouth and I'll show you the name. If you're not sure which one and a shortcut for this controlled park. Click that and I'll pop up Art Design Central Now for the design Central. We've got two tabs here. Got the document tab and then we've got the margins. So obviously, under the margins, you can set where your margins are. But, uh, otherwise, you'll be working mostly with a document, uh, channel. Keep in mind if you have a shape or anything selected, you will not be seeing your documents properties. So you have to select on the background or what you have to do is you go on top of your file and then you navigate documents set up. Click that it will take you also to your actual documents properties now under here. Like I mentioned, we've got a. The first little option here is to drop down or some templates so you can navigate down. Let's say you want to draw a four and keep in mind. It will scale the document, but not the actual designs. So you will have to reschedule your desire for the documents I would recommend first setting a document size before you started working. Then under that, you can also set some custom sizes. So if you have a project requires a specific sizes, you can always do that. And then under that, we've got here the portrait and landscape so you can kind of have your document in a landscape or portrait, depending on your workflow and design needs. And then let's say you need to navigate between two projects. Then what you can always do is go on top of the window. Then we never get to the bottom, and then we'll see the two names. Once you've saved a file and we'll give it the name, you saved it under. So now you can just click on flexi starter and automatically go back to flex the start of force You can also do this on the top right here. We've got three little bars under the close area which minimise your project cheque to window mode or close it. So let's say you want to switch projects. You can always just minimise this one and then you've got your next one. You maximise it once again, minimise that one, and then you've got them both at the bottom with their names saying which ones they are. But let's say you're working on two projects. You want to reference something from another one. You can always put it to window mode, which will be the middle one. And then you do the same with the other project window mode and just re scale windows size. And then you can kind of reference to. And then I would say, last stop will be just save. Also, just keep in mind the window that is active. These tools will be relevant to that window. So if we have this project active, the settings were relevant to that one. So if you're on this one, you're trying to change settings for this, and it's not changing, John. So you have this one open Otherwise you can just hit that little clothes or if it is full, you can go to file and then we go to close on top. So they will close your project at the bottom of exit to programme so close. And also, if you want to say we're saying no and then that is the last thing we need to look at is safe, something a file, and then just go to save or the shortcut. Control s highly recommend. Get used to the shortcut saves you a lot of time. You can also save a copy by going to safe pats. Otherwise, that's it. On a new project we hate to softwaretraining.co.za will see that today the video is available here. And like I mentioned, we've got a variety of different starters who do cover and also isolated search for the remaining specific. Or if you don't find what you're looking for. Jessica, your request, a training video, then we'll make that for you. Otherwise, thanks, guys, for watching and cheers
