Being able to Import Adobe Illustrator Files (AI), is a great feature seeing that more and more designers are using Adobe Illustrator these days.

All right, guys. In today's video flexi starter, we'll be looking at how to import Adobe Illustrator files. But let's start with a quick intro first so today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za. You guys will know that we've got a variety of different Softwares we do cover, and also we upload training videos daily so you can just keep an eye there for the new content. Otherwise, we're back in the programme here now, just a reminder. This is a miniseries on importing files as there's quite a few file formats to cover. I will leave relevant links in description. So if you want, you can follow along. So now, to locate the the input option will be under a standard toolbar. We covered this more in depth in the previous video. So if you hover your mouse over that little, um, property type icon to a file, or you can go to file and you navigate down till you find input. Now if we click this and then from my pop up box under the files of type, if you click this little arrow and you navigate all the way to the top until we find the adobe illustrator. So the Ai Biles, Then you navigate your where your father is selected. Unfortunately, the AI files Normally you won't get a preview. And like I mentioned before, can wish you just link button. If you don't want that graphics be embedded into your design. So if you're just using as a reference, you can do that. But keep in mind when you find a copy your final project to someone or a company, you might have to include those assets that are separate. But for now, let's just quickly make a new project then, uh, okay to import again. Well, okay, toe ai file and import it. Now it's gonna ask us. With the NFL, it's got a few options. So yeah, there are six pages in the file input, one page page number and then so you can choose which page you want to import. So if there's anything in the file specific page or you can say import all pages so I'll just leave mine on one. So I think it's just our colour codes and that for softwaretraining.co.za. So then under after that or, uh, probably pdf input options. Now we have here in port text as path. So let's say you don't have the font installed on your computer for the file. Then you can keep this one on, but you won't be able to edit the Texas normal text. But if you have the funds, you can just disable that one. For my case, I'm gonna leave it on. Say, Okay, it's gonna ask you where do you wanna place your graphics or the import of fall? So I'm just gonna select here and ice in the middle of the screen, Just set my document to landscape, and then, yeah, you can kind of this is normal graphics now, so you can use all your normal tools to manipulate it. As you see, we've got our colour codes here and then, yeah, that is it on importing AI files or Adobe illustrator files. But if we never get to softwaretraining.co.za got 00. Um, video is freely available here, and then also like I mentioned, as you can see, we've got a variety of different Softwares would cover. Then you're also able to isolate your search. So let's say you're looking for anything specific and how to do you can just type it in here, and then you can search for it. But if you still run dry and you don't get the results you're looking for, you can always just go request a training video. Then we will make that for you.
